The one who disdains prayers will receive 15 punishments from Allah. 6 punishments in this lifetime, 3 while dying, 3 in the grave & 3 on the Day of Judgment:
THE SIX PUNISHMENTS OF LIFE :
1. Allah takes away blessings from his age (makes his life misfortunate)
2. Allah does not accept his plea (Dua's)
3. Allah erases the features of good people from his face.
4. He will be detested by all creatures on earth.

A MUSLIM ~ I wasn't intending on asking how many Salaat a person prays but I had to ask this in the form of a question otherwise I'd probably get a violation!

Yes i do sister. Which Hadith exactly? I have never heard of this before. I know i am a revert and my knowledge Insha Allah has much to grow but my husband who has been a Muslim all his life and performed Salaat since a child, has much knowledge of Hadith's and The Quran but even he has never heard of it. Does your source give you specifics on where to find this Hadith? Thank you sister for sharing and your time and trouble Masha Allah.
PS do you think this applies also to prayer that are missed and made up later too? Example when at work with either no time or no place to pray and making them up when you get home or just people who never perform Salaat?

Insyallah I can continue pray 5 times.
I need it. It's more a need than an obligation.
I dont know how i am going to feel if I dont.
I started by telling myself (as i always had excuses to skip), that I'll pray at least once a day.
That way many times I lived a day without shalat; then by guilt instead of doing it, I skip another day and another day and another day; Until I was forced to pray caused by some bad situation.
Then, I was weaken again, so I told myself : I skip days if my aim is only once a day, so minimum 3x a day I HAVE TO.
Amazingly, I could keep my 3 times every day and ALWAYS feel stupid not to do the 4th, then of course the 5th.
I always say thank you, Alhamdulillah, everytime I am shalat. To me, just to be let to do it itself is a baraka and rachmah; Now I feel shalat is a need, something I am so happy to do it.
I wish, this bless of God SWT will accompany me the rest of my life.
Wassalamu'alaikum wr wb.

Salaam Alaykum,
Sister I cannot be a hypocrite and lie. Not every salat at every scheduled time. My work does not permit me too do this and is one of the reasons I wish to become a relief worker in a Muslim country. The above mentioned things are why Satal is one of the five pillars of Islam because of it's importance to show duty and respect to your creator...Muhammad PBUH stressed the importance of this pillar of Islam because he knew what was in store for the people if they earned Allah's wrath and showed disobedience. Also As- Salat is a way to keep Shaytan from causing you harm..Shaytan cannot break the spirit of a soul that performs salat with true intent and obedient. This excludes those most hated by Allah SWT the hypocrites that "Show off" by attending all salat but in their heart and actions is evil and mischief...May we keep each other in our duas to remember the importance of salat...and good behavior pleasing to Allah SWT Wasalam

Alhamudlillah I pray regularly. May Allah accept them with His Mercy. About the long Hadith that are forwarded through E-mails, I always take steps before forwarding to others. Scholars say, there are no Hadith like this but I think this may be summary or points noted from several Ahadeeth. Allah knows best.

ASSALAAM-U-ALAIKUM,
thanks a lot for that valuable piece of writing. In this day and age where not only are muslims adding more sects to our sacred religion but also denying 'HADEES'(astagfirullah), It was nice to come across someone who has given the reference of hadees. By the way, just a piece of advice. It is nice to instruct people for offering prayers but never ask how many do that as namaaz is very personal and need not be announced to others. Nevertheless, nice effort of waking up some dead souls. JAZAKALLAH
