I would tie the leash to your belt and just walk forward at a regular pace. If she sits down, just keep going. It will not take long before she realizes that you are serious.

Since she has gotten used to your stopping when she stops, she may balk, sit down, pull away, squeal, etc. but just keep walking at a regular pace.

When she walks, you can tap your leg, encourage her to follow you with a high pitched, happy voice and give her a tiny treat for paying attention to you. If she is very young, she can only do so much training at once but you can do this many times during the day for short periods of time.

This is really worth doing because you will have a dog who pays attention to you while on walks instead of ignoring you and going wherever she pleases.

Get a harness. Use treats. in the journey that your leash is long sufficient then stand infront of your canine nonetheless keeping the leash and make contact with her to you. The harness supply you finished physique administration, and your canine could desire to come to the treats. Ones she learns that strolling with the leash isn't so frightening she would be greater co-operative. then you decrease down treats slowly and once you're executed training her by utilising reward you may desire to easily be giving her a manage once you get returned residing house after each and each walk.

Three Universal Training Rules, which when applied consistently can change the behavior of any healthy, sane animal.

1. When your dog does something that you like, then make nice things happen for the dog.

2. When your dog does something that you don't like, then make nasty things happen for the dog.

3. Never, ever quit until your dog does something that you like and then make nice thing happen for the dog each time.

You can use both classical (treats), Or operant conditioning techniques ((noise, like a tone, a beep, a buzz or a tingle (shock) sensation; but less is more; try talking and Spray bottle with cold water, etc.) to change your puppy's behavior. You must have a lively and informative two-way your conversation with the dog in order to create clear understanding. Tell our dogs that "yes, when you like that behavior very much'" but, also tell them "no, you don't like that behavior at all."

But you can guide your puppy to stop unwanted behaviors gently, quickly and for ever by patience and repeated coaching! Get your dog to understand that you are the Alpha Dog or Master, teach him to respond to your voice. The new language need to be taught, "Attention" to you, the Master, is the best advice, the rest of the training, about 80%, is taught to the dog through "play" and "pleasure".

The one true test of a trained dog is a dog that will listen to your voice "without" a leash and without harnessess, head halters and the many assorted crutches that "FORCE" a dog to obey you. If your dog won't obey your commands unless you have a leash around his neck, then you may need to call a professional trainer.

The laws of learning are repeated until the dog obeys:
The usual "leash and collar" training methods, may take you months to train his dog. But if you, tap him lightly and then tell him what you expect with a yes or no. The puppy will recognize that you are in control. It means "follow my lead dog" developed training through a easier relationship with their dogs.

It honestly sounds as if you know absolutely nothing about Dogs. You bought a dog and hadn`t a clue just what you were getting into. Educate yourself !. buy some books on dogs and on your particular breed of dog. Learn just what you have to do to train it and then DO it !.. Lastly, you can`t MAKE a Dog do anything unless you use cruel methods, you TEACH the Dog what you want it to do and that takes time and patients

Try allowing the pup to drag the leash around in your home(monitored)and after she is used to it pick it up. The next step would be to take this outside.

Training classes will help you a lot. Learning how to teach your dog to be compliant and to be happy when doing so is not hard, but you will need help.
