In this world we can achieve a final stage of a scholar/sage/kindest person as Prophet-hood ended with the last of all Prophets- Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In any case evolution towards prophet-hood is not possible for Prophets are chosen by Allah only.

Good question !!! Final level is death. Once we die we are Earth Graduates. We have learned all of our lessons. Once we cross-over we then begin our Post Graduate work. Our spirit evolves even more when we cross-over. Much is to be learned on the other planes. You see, when we cross-over we gain total understanding of life and what it is all about. There are vast libraries on the other-side. There are spirits working just like they did here on Earth. The other-side is very, very busy. I hope this has helped. Blessings

The final level is knowing who God really is and embracing him. Being saved by Jesus Christ and having the assurance of Heaven provided we keep our covenant to God is our final level in our spiritual evolution on this Earth.

It's called Yoga or "divine union". In Christianity it's called "oneness". When our individual consciousness merge with each other and with God, that'll be it. If we die without achieving religion, we still have plenty of chances to know God in the 1st and 2nd heavens. I hope everybody will eventually get to the 3rd and join God. This 3rd heaven is where our consciousness go to when we pray meditatively to God.
