You forgived a person who did many wrong to you, but when you did a wrong to that person, that person will not forgive you no matter how many times you try to make things right.
For example, Bill have done many bad things to Joe. Bill alway tells Joe and others as well to forgive. Joe can forgive Bill a million times. But, when Joe did something bad to Bill, Bill can't forgive Joe even though Joe apologizes alot to Bill. Can anyone explain this?

It's all about each ones personal experience. However, as long as Joe made the attempt to tell Bill he was sorry and make things right, he has done the correct thing so that takes the blood of his hands, for lack of better wording, and places it on Bill's for not forgiving and letting things go. At least Joe tried to do the correct thing and God will not hold him accountable for his wrong doing but He will hold Bill accountable for not forgiving.

When we forgive others it is not just an act for them but for us also. Even though Joe always forgives and Bill never does, Joe is not burdened with anger and resentment that will get in the way of how he relates to God and other people.

Praise God He's not Bill!
We all are sinners and do wrong stuff.
Yet God cares about us and loves us.
So, Jesus died on the cross for us.
All those that believe will go to heaven.
Jesus thus showed us God's forgiveness.
We should, too, forgive those that do wrong stuff to us.
Jesus can forgive your sins, okay?
Now, would you surrender to Him today?

Because it is up to us to forgive and to make amends for own wrong doings. As long you clean up your side of the street, you are doing all you can do. We make amends to people to try and restore the damage we've done, not for forgiveness. It is up to the individual to forgive you or not. And if they can't than that is their own problem about themselves they are not dealing with.

I can't necessarily explain someone else's unwillingness to forgive. However, you are doing the right thing by doing so, no matter what, The Bible teaches to forgive. It also says if we don't forgive God won't forgive us. SCARY!!!!!

Bill needs to read his Bible and learn about forgiveness.

Forgiving someone about what they do is more about who you are than who they are. If you honestly cared about trying to rectify the situation, then his lack of caring only exposes his own faults.
