Nothing, except I have been wondering and I know I will get hate mail for this not to mention a whole bunch of thumbs down, but why if someone does not believe in a God do they still spend so much time on the subject? I mean think about it. I really hate asparagus, I don't spend my time looking at it in the store, I don't study recipes for it, if it is on the table at someones house I just don't eat it, not even to be polite. So why do Atheists spend so much time according to them studying and talking and arguing a point that doesn't exist or mean anything to them? Would they also try to force me to eat asparagus???

There are many religions without a "god". Aside from the weasel answers like the Earth Mother Religions that believe in a Goddess rather than a God, or those who think the plural is singular, to actually reject any subtlety that you cannot verify easily would be the usual type of Atheist.
Confucians, Taoists, Zen Buddhists, etc would be of those religions, and not call themselves atheist specifically

As the definition of an atheist is a person who does not believe in God (or gods), there is no difference.

Perhaps an atheist would be a better person to ask. As I understand it, an atheist is someone who believes god(s) do(es) not exist, so there is no difference.

An atheist says that there is no deity (which is a lie, because it cannot be proved). It's unclear what is meant by 'someone who doesn't believe in any gods'. Someone who does not believe that there are any gods is an atheist. But someone who believes there may be a god or gods, or that there is a god or there are gods, but does not personally put faith in one or more of them, is not an atheist.
From the Christian pov, anyone who rejects Christ is condemned, whatever they say they believe about deity(ies).

An Atheist does not believe in the existence of God.
An Agnostic remains non-committal and believes that there is no solid proof to either confirm or deny the existence of God.
