Do you have Bible study classes in your religion?
Yes I know, I am pretty ignorant of your religion.

We certainly do. My parish has had Bible studies for years. We just began a study of the Gospel of John, for which about 30 attendees were expected ... and over 80 showed up.

The Catholic Church encourages Bible study; in fact, we are told that "ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ". The misconception among some Protestants and others that we don't may in part be due to the fact that we do not carry Bibles with us to Mass on Sundays ... but that's not when our Bible studies occur. The purpose of Mass is worship, although several readings from Scripture are always a part of it.

Yes.

We do have Bible study classes.

All Catholics are encouraged to read the Bible.

The Catholic Church teaches: The Church forcefully and specifically exhorts all the Christian faithful to learn ‘the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ,' by frequent reading of the divine Scriptures. ‘Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ.'

We also all listen to the Word being proclaimed and explained in every Mass.

In every Sunday Mass there are at least four Bible readings
+ First Reading - usually from the Old Testament
+ A Psalm is prayed by all
+ Second Reading - usually from a New Testament Epistle
+ Gospel Reading
+ then the priest bring them all together and helps us apply them to our lives in the homily

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 131-133: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect1chpt2.htm#131

With love in Christ.

Yes, but my bible study is open to all Chrisitians not just Catholics. We find the different bible readings interesting. Then we will try to discuss what we think the passage means.

There are required Catechism classes that do go into sacred scriptures. If individuals choose to hold them in their homes or if a priest decides to have a special study week then that's what happens. I'm putting this very simply but it is simple.
