Are you being asked to pay back the SSDI to the Social Security Administration? Want to give more details about this?

Or, are you being asked to pay an insurance company who is now going to provide you with disability benefits. That is handled differently from the first case.

If you were determined to be disabled and received SSDI benefits, and are now able to work, then you would not be required to pay back the SSDI for the period of your disability. Hope this is the case for you.

Your question doesn't make a lot of since. If you are saying that you made $900 a month for social security disability and social security has determined you have to pay it back, then yes it’s a lot of money and yes you have to pay it back.

There is an amount that you can earn separate from your ssdi where if you earn more than that, you'd have to pay back some of the SSDI. Is that what you are asking? If you're just getting money from SSDI, you wouldn't have to pay any of it back unless you were found to be ineligible or cheating.

You'd only have to pay it back if it was paid to your in error or if you fraudulently claimed it. If either of those apply, of course you need to pay it back as you were not entitled to it in the first place.

Post all of the details and maybe someone can give you a more complete answer.

if you received the money during the period you were deemed disabled, no, you do not have to pay it back. Any and all payments that are made to you while you are disabled never has to be paid back, it is not a loan.

It depends, I should imagine, on whether you were actually fitted into the disability category for those two years, and weren't scamming anyone for the money.

Why would you have to pay any of it back? Were you convicted of fraud?
