Unfortunately, this question makes assumptions and ignores the reality of statistical evidence.
While it is true that particular religions are deeply entrenched in certain areas/cultures/peoples, I don't know that you can say that God only chooses to reveal Himself predominantly to Westerners.
What about the fact that certain nations (like ours) might be founded in response to religious persecution in Europe and other places in the world? That would definitely sustain the assumption that the Western world is more "Christian" than non-christian. Trace the historical truth, and you'll find that the Judeo-Christian values have existed in many places in the world other than in the West.
One other thing you can't ignore: God promises that He has revealed Himself *clearly* to all peoples. They have the proof in the creation, in the stories of those who have known Him, and the possible evidence He reveals in a more personal way to those who both know Him and do not know Him.
It's a fine line, the way this question is worded, to a very cruel, selective, bloodthirsty God. That, my friend, is not the God of the Bible.
Oh, and the last thing that might be important would be statistics in the East showing the population, growth, or extinguishing of Christianity. Might be worth the research.

The Judeo-Christian god is a Westerner! Didn't you know that? Like seeks like.
Kidding aside, god tends to be a local phenomenon. I just read the Atheist Manifesto by Michel Onfrey, and the author discusses the origins and permutations of monotheism in the West. A nice complement to books by Dawkins, etc.

Christianity is growing most rapidly in Africa and China right now - Indonesia as well.
Hindus especially don't like the fact that God is choosing many former Hindus to follow him - check out this anti-evangelism website:

Real christianity is probably no more prevelent in the west then in other countries. MANY of america's "Christians" only believe in a watered-down gospel where they pick and choose what they like and throw out what they don't, but in some countries where christians are persecuted you will find christians who are willing to die for their faith.

God does not choose who follows God. Different parts of the world connect differently with God. To connect with God, one has to be contributing positively, to the betterment of this world morally, and in so doing making this world a better place. You can not contribute positively, to this world without a connection to God. Meditation/Prayer, exercise and a good diet can help, you to get stronger spiritually. One does not have to believe in the images of God, that traditional religions paint, in order to be close to God. You may not have developed the picture of God that works for you yet. God Is a good and a moral God and rewards those who are good and are moral with more closeness to him/her.

This is news to me.
What, the muslims don't believe in God? Get a clue. They just call him Allah. Same guy. Different name.
ALL the religions worship God! They just take a different route than Jesus!
God reveals Himself to EVERYONE in one way or another.
