open your eyes - If it was not for America you would be speaking German, or you would be a lamp shade.
Be thankful.

We won two world wars. We rebuilt Europe and Japan. We still have the best health care system and the most productive people in the world. We are currently bending over backwards to try and accommodate Islam. and those how wish us harm. We are allowing milions of illegal immigrant to come in this country from Mexico--most of whom don't really care about this country on any level--with out retribution, We give them free education, health care and social services. What do you think?

Like ALL countries America has been a force of good and bad. Without America the Nazis could quite likely have taken control of Europe. In contrast they resorted to nuclear bombs at the end where they really werent that necessary. Japan wasn't going to hold on for much longer. It ended the war which was a pro but I think the negatvies far outweigh the positives in that particular case.

Today? Well unfortunately I think America has being doing its fair share of bad recently. I think the majority of Americans will agree that Bush's view of himself and his power is beyond corrupt. A man who has caused so many problems/wars really shouldnt be allowed to hold should a powerful position.

America has always prouded itself on its democratic morals and equality for all. In reality though I can't see that. Pretty much like all countries black people were treated horribly. This was more a problem of all countries though as I said. Today, however, certain parts of the country and high power people in the USA seem to view gay people in much the same way as black people used to be. America being such a high profile country its unfortunate that these views are regularly broadcast to the world.

The people of this country have shown in the past just how compassionate Americans can be. However, the Military/Industrial Complex has led us through wars and police actions that tarnish that compassionate image by tearing apart small countries and leaving our troops behind. The American "evilentity" is less than 100 years old. You have to remember, before WWI, the US was isolationist. We didn't want to get involved because we were still securing our borders and our people. I could go on, but the general idea is that the people of this country are good, but some of our leaders would, and have, led us down a path that negates our pure intentions.

America represents everything good in the world and what every other country wants to be like.

And to the person who said we have the best health care is dead wrong. We are ranked 34th in the world for health care. We may have the betts doctors and procdedures, but most American's don't even have health care. Almost any other country has government health care now, the problem in the US about that idea is ghettos, welfare lovers, and our high crime.

True of heart. I don't think this country has ever done anything malicious to any other country. Every intention taken on behalf of the United States was done true of heart for the vast majority of the citizens outside this country. We are not a selfish people as a whole, the overwhelming number of Americans honestly believe that we have the resources and power to aid others in freedom.

Evil lets start with the genocide of the natives, enslavement of the Africans, wars of conquest against Canada and Mexico.

Want something more modern? The invasions of Iraq, Panama and Grenada. The support of oppressive governments in El salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, Iran and Panama. The Vietnam war.
