You mean ecumenical - it is a worldwide promotion of Christianity by a worldwide collection of Churches; Protestant, Roman Catholic, Eastern etc.
As they can’t agree on recognising one another’s validity it’s a bit of a waste of time.

Its ecumenical and it means different religions working and communicating together.Looking at common roots.Fundamentalists on the other hand are very antiecumenical and intolerant of other religions. The National Council of the Churches of Christ is an example of an ecumenical organisation.

Do you mean "excommunicated?" It means being kicked out of the church.

Edit: Or, maybe if I had looked up the word first I'd know!! Ha Ha
It means to be interdenominational. Not belonging to any one religion, but taking parts of each religion and going on that. It can also be the church as a whole (no religion excluded, just all religion in general.)

It's someone (like me) who believes all religions are equal. Or rather, the ones that follow God in any way. ( I draw the line at the guy who worships his uncle's hub-cap collection.) Needless to say, we don't include Satanists in this.

God created us to be spiritual, not "religious". Man has screwed up almost every religion in some way, but the basis for all of them are the same......Love God...love your fellow man....love everything around you.

A friend's little girl was asked once what the ten commandments were. She said there was only one. "Be nice." That about covers it. :)
