no. God limited the amount of time people would live to something like 130 years in the old testament. the thing is, i can't remember where. right after the story of noah, maybe...

of course the resurrection thing kinda rules this out.

Adam lost perfection after he ate the fruit. Jesus was perfect and it is highly doubtful Jesus would have lived to be 900+.

I think that's an irrelevant question, even as a hypothetical...I'm not religious, I don't practice any religion regularly, anyway...but wasn't the entire purpose of Christ's presence on earth to die for the sins of the human race? Therefore, to assume Jesus' existance is to assume that he is crucified? And to assume that he would not be crucified would be to assume he would not have existed as a man of flesh and blood?

I doubt it.
After Adam and Eve sinned, they became imperfect and their bodies started to break down and age, which they passed on to us.
They were closer to perfection than we are now, so they still had a lot of good genes that enabled their bodies to last longer.
As time went on, their offsprings, offsprings died younger and younger. Thus man's lifespan today is a little more than 70 yrs, IF he's in good health and has access to medical care.
So, if it hadn'd been for Jesus' sacrifice, we would die WITHOUT a HOPE of living again. Thanks to God and His Son we have a hope that our first parents deliberately threw away.

No. Adam was slated to live forever. He screwed up. Jesus would probably have lived forever. Wait a minute! He DOES!

Just goes to show, you can't keep a Good Man down!

Hard to say, but one thing is for certain. If he hadn't been crucified there would be no Christianity. The religion is BASED on that supposed event.

Jesus was perfect. He would've lived forever. Adam died after 900 years because he wasn't perfect anymore.

Trust me, Adam did not live that long.

I mean, if anything, life spans are becoming longer.

His cells would have eventually worn out and would have not been able to replenish themselves.

And he would have died.

Just like the human he was.

are you guys listening to yourselves 900 years old. at what point does reality set in and you realize this bible stuff is all phoney and used by the govt as a means of control sure it may not be to the extent it once was but that doesnt mean you guys have to suspend your own perception of reality just to incorporate your familys beliefs.
