For Example,
Pepsi and Coke- Many people say that they aren't the same. But otherwise there is different brands that aren't as popular as those two that are EXACTLY like each other.
Woudn't it be a waste of money to make those brands?

Twister and Fanga orange soda.
Huggies and Luvs diapers?
Sony and Pasonic?
Aquafina, Poland Springs, and Dasani?
Gateway and Hp Computers?
Roseart and Crayola?
Mugs and A&W Rootbeer?

Am I alone here? What is the difference?

It would only be a waste of money if only one brand was purchased and the other was not. And trust me, if money is lost, whatever it was goes out of production real fast. You not thinking of this realistically. The world does not work on the logic you are thinking of.
