I use to go on picnics with my ex husband & three kids we'd have big picnic basket and inside would be plastic plates,plastic cups,forks,spoons,napkins.And jug ice water or tea.And chicken,creme potatoes & gravy ,macroni cheese,green beans and homemade biscuits.Sometimes we'd go KFC and buy it then we'd go up on the blue ridge parkway in the mountains.who likes having picnics? if u packed picnic basket what would be inside? who would u be with on your picnic? where would u be having your picnic at?

we usually make assorted cold cut sandwiches, or wraps, chips or pretzels, fruit - grapes are great for this - apples- oranges- nothing that bruises too easily. Homemade choc chip cookies and/ or brownies. We have 2 , one gallon coleman jugs one being unsweetened iced tea and one water. We have one of those picnic baskets that have all the plates, eating utensils etc inside it also. We use cloth napkins that I wan wash when we get home.
The local college on Thursday nites has a concert from sunset till about 8:30 ( so about an hour) and then after the concert they have fireworks. This is every week for 8 weeks and we go to about 4 a summer :)

I have a neat cooler bag from Crate & Barrel. I'd take a six pack of beer, a few bottles of water, 2 huge Italian muffaletta sandwiches, and a non-mayo pasta salad. And of course tons of napkins and a couple forks, and a blanket. And we'd go to the base of the Grapecrusher statue in Napa. Toss all the garbage in the cooler bag and it's easy to clean out when we get home!
Oh, and our small portable radio. Nothing like our favorite station on softly while enjoying the views.

it would be my son.. we would go to the blue ridge parway from the lynchburg side... i would take a loaf of bread, some mayo and mustard packets. a trash bag,.. we don't litter ..sandwich meat probably turkey and chips maybe a couple of cans of friut.. pop top can so as not have to carry a can opener..block cheese and a knife and an extra cell phone battery and a flashlight

I would go with my husband and grandkids, at a lake somewhwhere . And I would pack different types of sandwiches , chips , potatoe salad and homemade cookies.

Israeli-style potato salad with pickle pieces and peas. Hard cheese, bread, olives, spring water and juice, strawberry applesauce.
