Typically people should wear what makes them feel comfortable! So if a dress makes you feel comfortable, then go for it.
But be prepared for people to laugh at you. Society has this image of girls clothes and guys clothes. A guy who wears girls clothes, will be looked at as less then a man.

What is "Normal" That is determoned by "Community standards - Do you mean "Average"
It is a bit unusual for a guy to want to cross dress. It is not unknown as mnay guys do it for sun, entertainments, a joke. To desire to do it on a regular bases. Well this guy marxhes to a different drummer.
It is his choice. It is not affecting you and you should not judge him by your standard. He is he and you are you. You might not want to do it. that is OK. He does want to do it and, for him, that is also OK.. That, like sex partners is personal and subjective. It is personal choice and, as such, is the individuals right to engage as he feels necessary.
If this is a friends - be cool. that is what friends do. If he is just another guy. Well, Mind you won affairs and let him do his thing. It does not affect you in any way.

Its not fair damn it! You can see a woman dressed TOTALLY in men's clothes, and it looks "tomboyish" and to some, even a turn-on.
When men dress in dresses and frilly stuff? Eww. Gay. Disgusting. Sissy.
Its not fair I tell you!
Though, I have to say, even I agree its a little wierd.

Do you think it's normal? I think he has gotten in touch with his inner feminine side a bit closer then most. But. it's their life and they need to live it.
