As in how to make one? Get the meat of your choice eg. chicken, beef, sausages and give them a wee fry first to colour them then put them in a casserole dish with some mushrooms and onions and the stock of your choice. It should take about an hour or so for the meat to cook through so when it's ready take it out and add some thickener or bisto, etc. Only season it near the end because the stock will add salt. Hope that helps :) Oh, and you can just as easily have a veggie casserole with the veg of your choice but leave them chunky or they'll cook down to nothing.

The best tips are to use the right kinds of meat for slow cooking (often the cheaper cuts eg neck of lamb) and to cook it for as long as possible - Delia Smith is great for recipes which work.

Always add coriander & garlic, fresh is best but dried is OK. Dumplings a must at this time of year. If you have an electric a slow cooker you get best results.

well my way of making it is by using a stock cube then adding other stuff youve got it, like a bay leaf, salt, pepper, maybe a bit of soy sauce, tiny bit of suger.

and i personally i always brown the meat off first

if your really stuck just get one of those colmans packets it lists all the stuff you need on the back, and how to prepare it.
