I love cartoons, and am over 50, so have many years or favorites, and some I don't consider to fall into cartoon category, J. annime for one..I like Naruto, but my Grand kids hate it, so Sponge Bob wins, followed by Tom & Jerry.

My favorite Kid Cartoon now is Max & Ruby. Backyardigans is another good one.
I enjoy watching Spongebob Squarepants. I think the cartoon is hysterical. But, I don't let my daughter watch it b/c sometimes they say "jerk" or talk about things, in my opinion, not appropriate for young children.
Though, Nothing like the awesome cartoons we had when I was younger!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I took up martial arts b/c of that show. Always wanted to kick butt like them and now i am a full contact fighter and have been involved in martial arts for 8 years. My favorite adult cartoon is South Park. Eric Cartman is hilarious!

from my childhood, anything by Tex Avery would have me in stitches. Looney Tunes, Super Friends, Scooby Doo, Fat Albert, Tom & Jerry, the Jackson 5 cartoon, and any of the short cartoons from Electric Company or Sesame Street.

from today's cartoons, SpongeBob, Billy and Mandy (Grim Tales or something like that), and Jakers! The Adventures of PigglyWinks.

Jeez I've never seen so many answers to a question, well done!

For the record I'd have to give my vote also for The Simpsons, although I'm not sure it's a kids cartoon!

I cannot limit myself to just one cartoon. Fairly Odd Parents is very funny, as is Sponge Bob, and from back a ways Pinky and the Brain.

I also loved the Flintstones as a kid.
