For some reason, even when i feel really upset at something which i would have cried at when i was younger, i dont cry now and this has been the case for like 2 years, i dont even need to supress it, it just hardly happens.

I am not afraid to cry and am actually a very emotional person. My wife thinks it is one of my assets that I am able to express myself so easily. Certainly there have been times when I have been embarrassed by being so easily led to tears but I do not allow this to overwhelm or care what others think. My eyes welled up while watching my granddaughters at their dance recital, because I was so proud of them, and some others were looking at me like I had two heads. Many men fear how others will view them, as a sign of weakness or being labeled as a pussy. But fact of life is that we all do cry, unless we have something physically or emotionally wrong within us that will not allow our tear ducts to operate properly. I am not advocating for men to all of a sudden cry whenever, merely asking males to not fear any shame if they should express some emotions through tears.

Some men think if you cry your not a man,or they feel they are weak if they cry. Some men think only females cry so the don't want any one to think they are a female. But I'm here to tell you that men do cry, some tear up even watch a sad movie,or watching a loved one die or even when a girl or women walks out of there life..If a men don't cry he has no feelings for any one or any thing.

Guys in general can "take it", and save the tears for when they are merited. We can cry, we're just not leaky waterworks.

Last time I cried was when I visited Ground Zero in July. First visit. I remember that dread day all too well though I was far from the primary events -- plenty of TV and web coverage. But being there -- ouch. "Ground Zero" is a frightfully good name, because where once were two majestic towers, there is nothing. (Some subterranean construction, yes, but a huge, gaping hole in the skyscape.)

hey I cry like 3 times a week, I use to cry 5 ot 6 times a week. Why because I am weak! I am a loser, a lowlife, a piece of sh!t, no one will love me, and above all I was never ment to be created. I m guessing this is the reason why I dont have a GF

because men are taught that crying is a sign of weakness, and that they are supposed to be strong. and not show emotions. They are thinkers, not feelers. Most men will never let you see them cry. but to me, A real man will show his true feelings even if it brings the tears. If they don't show emotion, then how can they understand our emotions when we cry, they can't. or they won't.

They do cry.... and I freakin hate it!

It isn't human not to cry.... I would be afraid of anyone who is afraid to cry, there is something wrong with that picture. Just because we don't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening in the privacy of say their bathroom or while driving. It's an ego thing.

You may just be upset because they aren't crying over you.

It shows weakness. Many men have the mentality to be strong minded and powerful, so they hold it back. It's just human nature.

when we were little and something upset us we were told "don't cry" or "stop crying" as we got older it turned to "be a man" or "suck it up" and so as adults we don't have easy access to emotions and when they come it's because something so powerful has happened that we can't control ourselves and so we cry, doesn't mean we don't care, doesn't mean we are heartless and unfeeling just means we have no references. me personally? I cry when something moves me. something to think about
