I believe that our molecules & atoms existed before they formed us. And will continue to exist after we die and decay.

I do believe with conviction that I existed before this lifetime, a strong conviction which was triggered when I had the privilege to see, during my 5th yr. as a child, my immediate past life before this one. This realization contributed to my openness towards a mysterious dimension beyond the present one. So that, even from my childhood, I already believed that we, humans, do exist beyond time and space - that we are more than the physical.
In my case, how did it happen? One morning, as my wont, I went to stroll alone into our backyard. This time, I went where there was a wide and deep pit some men had dug for days. Nobody was there that time, and so I took the chance to sit by the edge of the pit and started to meditate.
Suddenly, I found myself in a different scenario. My being there was no different as when I existed in the present. After that, I dropped from that level back to where I exist at present. It was like dropping from the sky to the ground. Honestly, I was shocked by what I saw. And then, I stood up and walked back to the house, with a new kind of awareness from then on.
Later, in my early 30's, I attended a live-in workshop on self-knowledge. It was intensive and was conducted for 3 days. There was a part when we had to confront our fears.
In my case, when we were at the swimming pool, I could not dip my head even for an instant because I was so afraid. Two facilitators already came to my assistance, exhausting all their strategies on me to convince me to get over my fears. Then, finally, they helped me regress, for us to find out the reason for such fear.
In the process, I was able to go back to a past life, when I was a little boy of 8-9 yrs -- when I dived into a river. As I reached down the riverbed, there was a plank of wood where my head struck. And then the scene stopped. I realized I got killed from that accident. Then I remembered I kept dreaming on this repeatedly. I did not understand then what these dreams meant until I was at this time guided to regress back to my past. What was interesting about my facilitators was, as I went through the regression, they saw what was transpiring in me, so that when I tried to give them an account they nodded in a manner as if they knew.
So, these are only two of the instances wherein it is not hard for me to believe on the eternal nature of my soul; that it lives forever, and that my physical body is merely a clothing for my existing Consciousness. And I believe too, that this is true for all, even for those who are not Christians. No lone religion is privy to this.

No.
But what a great question.
I believe our lives begin at conception. God knows "the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning" - (Revelation) , so yes HE knew Jeremiah before he was born. He knows all the past and all of the future - whether it has come to pass yet or is yet to come.
He knew about Jeremiah and his life before he was conceived, as he does with all of us.

Yes were were. God created all souls and they are in heaven with him until, they be born into this world, and at death, will return.
This is why I marvel at the eyes of a newborn baby, the eyes being the 'windows of the soul.' They were only recently with God, prior to His sending their soul to a fortunate set of parents.

Pastor Carney,
Again you have challenged my mind to explore God's work and I thank you. I believe you will find this interesting as I have. God Bless you!
God said, "Before I formed you in the belly, I knew thee". In
other words, he existed before he was formed because God caused those things,
which are not as though they were.
Not only that, He said, "Before you came out of your mother's belly, I
ordained thee to be a prophet". It means that before Jeremiah came out
of his mother's womb, a divine assignment had been given to him. God has made
up His mind what Jeremiah would live to be in life - his vocation.
Now if the young man ended up to be a farmer, he has missed his destiny; if
he ended up being a lecturer or an engineer he has lost his destiny.
Using Jeremiah as an example, we can safely say that before every person is
born into this world, God has appointed a task for such a person. God has predetermined
our destinies. No one of us is born to have a nonentity in life. It is your
destiny that makes your real identity. God has created every man to be great,
especially, those who are recreated in Christ Jesus. We are created unto good
works.
God did not make anybody mad. When you see mad men, men have made them so. When
you see hewers of wood and drawers of water, men made them like that, not God
Almighty.
Everyone is born with a future, everyone is born with a hope. It does not matter
what you think about yourself or what people think of you. It is what God is
thinking about you that matter. God says, " I know the thoughts I think
towards you, the thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and
a hope". Whatever promise applies to anyone of God's children in the Bible,
applies to all of us because we are the handiwork of God and our Father has
no favorites.
Here God is saying that before you were born, I had a thought towards you, it
is the thought of peace, and not of evil. So if you are having no peace, that
is not the plan of God for you. If you are not enjoying peace, that is not what
is in the mind of God for you. If you are helpless, that is not the thought
of God. If you think you have no hope again, that is not the God's thought for
you. His thought is to give you a future and a hope.

I don't believe in reincarnation. I think the passage means that God is all knowing and knew Jeremiah would exist at a point in the future. I don't believe the verse is referring to reincarnation.

Yes we were in existence before we were born in the flesh. That's the whole purpose for the bible. It's a letter to us, Gods children to remind us that this is not our intended being, that the flesh is temporary, and the reason for being us being here and a promise to be reunited with Him.
This has nothing to do with reincarnation but has more to do with dimensions. Christ appearing to be there but wasn't and passing through closed doors, this can only be done through passing through different dimensions.

I do not. That would be thinking we are reincarnated. God was telling Jeremiah that He knew him and his heart before his conception. He knew that he would be the way he was before he did anything. God knows your heart before you even think of the answer...before you are asked the question He knows you.
