muslims can't not eat pork.

my mom says yes because the box says "this product does not contain pork"

my dad says no, because they put a fake stip of "fat" that turkey does not have, to make it resemble pork.

I say yes... the fat strip is actually white meat & the other is dark meat.

Muslims are not supposed to eat pork.

"Turkey bacon" -- if it is just turkey, can be eaten because it is TURKEY. It doesn't matter if it looks like bacon. This logic is akin to a vegetarian not being able to eat a bean burger because it looks like a hamburger. As long as the food itself is not made of or from pork products, it can be eaten.

However, strict Muslims only eat meat that is halal, which means it has been killed in a specific way (similar to Jewish people only eating kosher).

It depends. Even if it does not contain pork most muslim would not eat it if it is not Halal, meaning when the animal is slaughtered, prayers have been said.

But however, some less religious Muslim do eat if there is no visible etc, BUT its only polite and respectful if you ask they mind about it.
