Having white hair does not mean that you are old, I was told if you are young with white or gray hair means that you are wise, I'm 21 and I have a small patch of gray/white hair, but I never know that i have it until I get my hair done.

White hair does'nt mean you're old it means you have white hair. Old means age of years. I suppose your question is does it make you look old. How old are you and are you male or female? If you are a male over 35 then going grey is as we call it the salt and pepper look which is in fashion and very sexy. If you are a female then going grey or having white hair DOES make you look old so I suggest you dye it.

Not necessarily. Hair usually turns gray because of age and genetics, in that genes regulate the exhaustion of the pigmentary potential of each individual hair follicle. This occurs at different rates in different hair follicles. For some people it occurs rapidly, while in others it occurs slowly over several decades.There are several factors that can change the pigmentation of hair, making it lighter or darker. Scientists have divided them by intrinsic (internal) and extrinsic (external) factors:
Intrinsic factors:
* Genetic defects
* Hormones
* Body distribution
* Age
Extrinsic factors:
* Climate
* Pollutants
* Toxins
* Chemical exposure

No, absolutely not. Everybody's hair colour changes at different rates. Sometimes nutrition has an effect, or sometimes it's in the genes. One of my family members had really white blonde hair as a child, and by the time she was in her early 20s, it had turned completely white.

I know a person who's hair turned white at age 17, it happens, probably because of a lot of stress. it certainly doesn't mean you are old. I think it's really what you think of yourself, whether you are young or old.

A lot of people get white hairs early, especially if their natural color is black or very dark brown. Has nothing to do with age, but with genetics.

I hope not since they show up occasionally on my 14 year old (we noticed the first one when she was 12) and my hair started going when I was 25.
