fed up with religion,

Are you aware of the fact that if we were to quit producing food right now that we would have enough food to feed the world for over a year?God has blessed us with plenty of food but because of mans greed many are hungry.

Unfortunately, even in the times of Jesus there were unbelievers, ones that refused to see what was right in front of them (just like today)so with that being said, I don't believe that we will ever see the full "beauty of His teachings" until He reigns with us on earth.
Racism, hate, crime, lust, adultery and religion are some of the causes that separate from us from the "teachings" of Christ

I like the advice that Daniel gave to King Nebuchadnezzar (the ruler of all the known world at that time 630-562 B.C). Daniel said, "So, king, take my advice: Make a clean break with your sins and start living for others. Quit your wicked life and look after the needs of the down-and-out. Then you will continue to have a good life."

If EVERYONE in the world would stop thinking about themselves, their own power, their own happiness, then we would all have the good life.

However, this cannot be a reality because no one is good... no not one. All have fallen short of God's glory. The only solution for mankind is to trust in God's plan of redemption.

The only direct reference to what Jesus said about murder is in Matthew 5:21, 22: "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgement.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgement." And then in Matthew 15:19 Jesus said, "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander."

If everyone did as Jesus taught, this world would be a far better place. Sadly, we will have to wait for the millennial reign of Christ before that happy day dawns.

Just a note about the use of the word 'murder' as used in the Bible - the Hebrew for this verb usually refers to a premeditated and deliberate act. In the Old Testament provision was made for accidental manslaughter, a different thing altogether. However, the principle that life is sacred to God stands.

The teachings of 'Jesus 'can be pretty much summed up with the word 'LOVE''. Practice such, problems solved. But, Buddha, Mohammed, and others also taught the same premise. Lets all love one another (despite beliefs), love all created life on this planet, and quit trying to impress ones religion on another. It's what has caused most of the problems in the world today.

Don, I usually find your questions fairly easy to answer, but this one is tough, because how can we narrow it down to a few things? All things that are not of God would be stopped if we heard only His voice and obeyed it. In fact, this would send Jesus to us right now, to take us home. amen.
But to name a FEW.
Abortion would stop as ppl wouldnt still murder.
Adulty would stop as ppl would be faithful to their mate.
Lying would stop as God is against it.
Rape and violence would end.....
Homosexuality would end.
Wars would end, be no need for them.
Divorces would end.
Sexual diseases would end.
Great health would come from eating only healthy foods , natural eating... as they did back then.
WE would all love each other and get along.
Churches would teach only Gods truths.
Gossip would end.
I could go on forever, but you have limited space here.
Just say as I said in the beginning, all things not of God would come to an end, and we could go to Heaven right now.
TO God be the GLory, great things He has done. amen
Thanks again Don, God bless you buddy. Yahoo needs you man, dont ever go away....

1) Programs such as Oprah, Dr. Phil & many others would be off the air because people would be trusting in the Lord to answer their problems.
2) No more children exploited in pornography because people would not be following their own lusts.
3) No more homeless people because people would be loving their neighbors.
4) No more Federal or State welfare systems because churches would take care of the poor in their communities
5) No more divorces because people would honor the institution of marriage.

If we all "Love Others", as our LORD commanded us to 'LOVE'; good deeds will flow so freely that we would be completely amazed.

Just imagine what our country could look like, if for one month we were really serious about focusing our attention on manners, respect, integrity and thankfulness in all aspects of life!?!

Imagine the effect of manners & respect on our families, our business dealings, our school life, athletics, and in our churches!

Marriages could be healed as husbands feel respected and our wives feel appreciated.

Family tensions eased as our children express gratitude to their parents rather than whining and complaining.

Road rage would disappear, AND our employee relationships would be smoother. Clients would love the great customer service!

Athletes would play fairly!!! The school yard bully could be won over by kindness. Etc.

If we could ALL start with a positive attitude that shows care, guys would dare to say "I love you", ask questions freely, answer questions honestly, encourage the timid, applaud the courageous, forgive the mistakes, and acknowledge the great.

We would be so much closer to happiness. We would have more sons who know how to start something and follow through, who believe in themselves and aren’t riddled with doubt, anxiety, fear, and anger.

We would have more daughters with the confidence to love themselves so they don’t need to force-feed themselves food by the poundful.

Would there be any place for addictions and violence if we grew up believing in ourselves, in love with each other?

Maybe we would have no more dead-beat dads and unwed moms.

Invest time, energy, love and treasures into your family. When you give, it comes back to you, pressed down and multiplied!!!

He said that the whole law of God was contained in two commandments: to love God with all your heart, and to love your neighbor as yourself. So if we followed the first one we could never go wrong, always living in and surrounded by real love. And if we followed the second we could never do wrong to another human being. We would all be living in the kingdom and sin, disease and death would be history and the law of life and progress would be the rule of the day.
