The difference between an orange and orange juice is that the orange still has all the fibre in it from the skin and pulp and all that stuff. The orange juice is just basically sugar water from the fruit. The fibre helps you feel full and keep fuller longer and also helps keeping your digestive system clean and running smoothly. When you drink orange juice you get a sugar high and then you drop. When you eat an orange the fibre helps slow down the digestion so you get a more even supply of the sugar. Also, when you body drinks calories it takes them as energy, but does not count them towards your daily calorie needs so you may end up consuming more calories!
Hope my answer helps you :)

Not really because when you eat an orange, you are eating the fibre together. The fibre slows down the absorption of sugar into your bloodstream and makes you feel full faster. It also depends if you are referring to processed orange juice or the ones you blend yourself. Processed orange juice normally contained added sugar/preservatives compared to the humble orange.

You can get fat from eating too much sweet fruit. Generally though, fruit is less fattening than fatty than fatty snacks or or processed food containing sugar. This is because the sugars in fruit are more complex and actually require some energy to metabolise.
