First of all congrats on the new job! As for being nervous I agree its hard when you start any new job. Just remember that everyone was new once and most of your co workers Will be glad to have you on board and be very willing to help get you up to speed. After all its in their best interest to help you be as good as they are so it relieves pressure from them. The product knowledge Will be the tough one.... there is no way to know it all the first day geez I've been in sales for 20 plus years and still find myself telling customers I'm not sure but will be glad to look that up for you.... remember 99.9% of the people you are dealing with will appreciate your honesty the other way could be a disaster which is guessing and misinforming your customer. They commonly refer to this as lieing. We both know thats not the intention but that is what rhe end result looks like when we guess and guess wrong so don't be afraid to let customers know you are new. As far as the bimbo thing i can't believe that just based on the fact that you cared eneough to post this question! So sell sell sell. I thiink anything can be achieved by those who believe and keep trying with a positive mental attitude!!!!!!!

First of all, congratulations on getting the job.

Secondly - what you are feeling is normal. All you have to do is learn as much as you can as quick as you can. That alone will show your new co-workers that you mean business. As you learn, you will be able to answer more & more customer questions. Next thing you know, you will be Employee of the Month (or something like that).

Product knowledge is most important though, when it comes to being able to answer questions. So, just be yourself, pay attention and learn. Get to work on time without fail, and if available, work overtime if they allow it.

Good luck to you in you new job. :-)

Just be yourself. You may also try to take some of the brochures or information about the products you are working with home so you can be knowledgeable about them. I know it is work being done at home but it will impress the people you are working for. That shows that you are going the extra mile to be a good employee. Show your interest in the job and it will go much smoother. Good Luck.

Give yourself some credit, you've landed the job. Stop projecting the worst, give yourself the chance to compete. So what if you make a mistake your not perfect. Watch and learn from your co-workers and ask questions the best way to combat anxiety is to have a plan and stick with it. Stop looking at yourself through other people's eyes.

Good luck!

Being new to a job challenging. I'm sure your boss will give you an "orientation". Since you are in a Service Industry, what you are going to learn is most likely dealing with costumers, what kind of product you are going to sale, attitude towards costumers, company rules and regulations etc.

Gratz on getting a new job.
As for advice:
Have a positive attitude.
Show up to work on-time, or early.
Act like you want to be there.
Don't get flustered, or overwhelemed by all the new information you need to absorb. Just take it one step and a time, and you will get there.
Best of luck.
