Take her to the vet NOW! It sounds like what happened to a cat of mine that was poisoned.

Flea sprays are bad. Take your cat to the vet. The only flea preventative I have ever found that actually worked is Advantage. I tried everything else and nothing worked. My dogs and cat no longer have fleas, but I keep a supply of Advantage in case anyone ever gets fleas again.

There are alot of things it could be- some serious and some not so much. Your vet would be the best place to start. When something is distasteful to cats, they can drool alot and the flea spray is a likely culprit especially if she grooms alot. A foreign body or string around the tongue or a loose tooth is also possible. Nausea can sometimes also be exhibited by drooling. Let your veterinarian do a complete physical exam and see what it is.

I used flea sprays on my dog and she would start to slobber. It is an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the spray. I know a dog and a cat are not the same but some of the flea sprays are THE SAME THING the manufactures just label them differently to sell to us the consumer. read the labels and you will see.

Many cats are allergic to OTC and vet-dispensed flea sprays. The same is true for flea collars. If your cat is salivating heavily, she is having an allergic reaction to the spray. Try to get as much of it off of her as you can. You said you didn't get much on her, but a little bit is all it takes. If she doesn't get better after you clean her up, take her to a vet, because a severe allergic reaction could kill her. I hope this helps and that your cat soon recovers.

If this spray was from a pet store, be scared. And take her to a vet asap, because store-bought products are frequently toxic. I once saw a cat with neurological symptoms just from snuggling up to a cat that had had store-bought crap applied to it!

There's only one safe flea-spray, it's called Frontline spray. This may cause salivation if it gets in the mouth but is otherwise OK. If it wasn't Frontline - vets, now.

If you check the back label it states that there are side effects. When I sprayed my cat with flea spray it started to drool alot and it was hanging down her chin and seemed to really aggravate her. I just made sure she had water and wiped her mouth with a paper towel. It comes from licking the flea spray. Double check the label and you should see it says "drooling as a side effect". Hope this helps you. Oh, and by the way, my cat is fine and nothing to worry about. :-)

Wow wash that spray off fast you may have poisoned poor kitty. Just taste the flea spray you will Slobber too! Advantage Flea control or other insect control should be administered by your Vet the first time. And deemed safe use spairlingly. Major infestations use flea bombs to kill off the carpet fleas.

cats lick their fur, I would not use flea spray rather a flea collar. All the poison from the spray is probably causing the slobbering. WIll probably go away with time.

Ask yourself what happened different! Flea Spray? It may be an allergic reaction or the cat may have licked the stuff as cats do. I would call the Vet and be safe.
