I have a Emerson video cassette player (DA-4) and a dvd player (Magnavox 7006) and i was wondering if there is a way to connect the dvd to the video cassette player ( cant connect to the TV (symphonic st131f).. no ports for it).. and i know they have an adapter (heard its was $20) but i wanted to see if i could connected it to one of the million ports that the cassette player has (or if you know a place for cheap adapters then thats fine too).

Thanks!!!

" if the dvd has the av plugs red white yellow.connect them from the output to the input av's on your vcr then use the coax from vcr to tv. "

I have the av plugs... but (all the areas were u put the av plugs are color coded to each av plug) i dont have the red area for the red av plug. But when i plug the others in I get sound but no picture. i have a yellow video area and a white audio area in front. In the back of the cassette player i have 2 white audios, in and another one for out and two yellow areas with one called out and the other called in.

OK.. i got it hooked up (have both video and auditory) and it comes out crystal clear.. except for the random scenes were the color changes slightly and the scene blurs a little. But thanks for all the help!

just take the video plug from the in on the vcr and try it on any of the out ones from the dvd it wont hurt it,i've done it before to find the right 1 on cheap vcr/dvd players for friends.actually they dont have to have the same color cord as the plug ,aslong as they conecct to the same in/out oh some vcr to play a dvd player through the channel on vcr need to be changed to input most others are 3 or 4

Most DVD's are copy-protected to prevent you from renting a DVD, feeding the VCR and copying movies.

Even if you bought the "RF Modulator" and plugged it into the vcr, the results would be blank/scrambled.

You have to buy a RF Modulator and a A/B switch box with "F" connectors. Then you can toggle between the 2 devices.
