if what you are studying is not not interesting, you are in trouble

Sweetie, I have the same problem. I'm doing a homestudy course in journalism and I just keep finding other things to do. I don't know why but I keep trying to distract myself. The best thing to do is set yourself a time table with your study times and stick to it. Get someone to make sure that you stick to it if possible. Are you afraid that you won't do well and therefore are not doing your studying? Sometimes, this is the case for me. I feel that if I sit to my computer and start writing articles, I worry I'm not going to be able to do well. That feeling scares me, so I just leave it.
Please be confident in yourself and keep trying. Nothing worth having is easy, I know it's hard to sit and concentrate on your work at times but please don't give up. Good luck xx

The main reason people find other things more fascinating is because you are not finding what you are studying interesting.

You need to find something interesting in it - so you can stay focus.

Even if it is reading a chapter outloud in a tape recorded then playing it back to yourself - it works.

If you ever plan on attending college you need to resolve this now - because when college comes around it will be difficult to change it then.

You're listening to your inner doubts and insecurities (the little devil sitting on your shoulder.) He doesn't prevent you from studying, you do. Ignore him, crack open the book, and learn the the stuff anyway. Show him who's boss!
