i'm planning to buy a monster cable for my 37" regza lcd tv,coz im not satisfied with the resolution/ picture quality when viewing shows provided by skycable,a cable tv company.will it somehow improve the quality of the tv channels,or only the movies played using dvd players..?

Your problem is you are feeding a 1940's video signal to a HDTV. No cable will improve it. Standard Def video will always look crappy.

Get real HD channels from your cable company.

It depends on what kind of cables you are now using. I assume you are talking about upgrading to an HDMI. If so, the answer is that your pic will "probably" improve.
Hint: Monster products generally, and monster cables specifically, are a rip off and over advertised and seriously over priced!!! Only the uninitiated buy them, at huge profits for the store. Look on-line at places like http://www.mycablemart.com at the prices for cables that ARE comparable to Monster. Or pay a little more than on-line, but a whole lot less than Monster, for common cables, including HDMI at WalMart, Target, and K-Mart.
