Being that their claims are ridiculous with no scientific merit, why are we not the ones laughing at their ignorance. They have used this tactic very well to try and silence the scientist and others who use facts to back up their statements. I think it is time for those who actually read the data and then make an informed decision to start making fun of thier ignorance.

To all of you who claim man made global warming, I bask in your ignorance.

Bob,
Even the die hard AGW people would laugh at your ridiculous claims. Do some research before posting here. It will save the rest of us time.

No they are not being laughed at by all.
But they are being laughed at by most.
Religions are like that, some people don't want to offend even though it's so far fetched.

I think the ignorance and fanaticism is not from the AGW folks. I look at the blog listed with the question. It is mostly propaganda - very little scientific merit. Try the US National Academy Science . This is a very conservative group of SCIENTIST - some of the best in the world. Stick with the NAS, EPA, and IPCC. There are others throughout the world that are excellent, but I'm most familiar with these. Look in the library for peer-reviewed journals. If it doesn't make it in a peer-review journal, it doesn't mean it is left wing. It means it uses flawed methods or arrives at conclusions that are not supported by the facts presented. If being right-wing means believing in mis-information for personal gain, and ignoring widely accepted scientific theories and concerns that can impact all life on the planet, then I'm a left-wing republican! Please understand republicans are usually reasonable people. Just a few wackos gives all of them a bad name. Pray for them!

See? I can make completely unqualified statements, too! Pretty snappy, eh?

The fanatics ..are.. being laughed at, most people view the state of the worlds climate as a natural cycle. This forum does not represent anything close to reality as far as the general consensus, at least with adults that have been in the real world for a decade and realized that the opinions of all of those professors in college really did not have anything to do with reality. The majority of the die hard believers really believe that the U.N. is not a corrupt organization and that it has no hidden agenda and the USA and capitalistic system is the real threat to the future of humanity. This philosophy is the real threat to western civilization, keep up the good fight.

Because all the scientific evidence points to humans as the primary cause of the current global warming.

Deep down you know this is true. Otherwise you would make a scientific argument to defend your position instead of just throwing empty childish insults at the opposition.

Go crack open a science book, buddy.

Maybe they are too busy laughing at YOU. You are the one wearing the joker hat after all. Fools are meant to be laughed at. Scientists aren't. Whales in trailer parks bask don't they? Trying for a guest shot on Trailer Park Boys?

Here's a chance for you to demonstrate that you're not the ignorant one...

Find any evidence what-so-ever from any credible* source what-so-ever that demonstrates in any way, shape or form that we are not affecting the climate.

You infer that you understand what you're talking about so here's something that will be remarkably simple for you - demonstrate that greenhouse gases do not possess the ability to retain heat within Earth's atmopshere.

* Credible does not mean quoting from scientists or websites that are funded by the likes of ExxonMobil. Remember, they are required by law to publish annual accounts so we already know exactly who they are funding.

That's pretty silly. The "claims" are proven science.

The "fanatics" include 99+% of all scientists.

EVERY major scientific organization.

Most every world leader.

Most of the educated people in the world.

You should maybe listen to Newt:

"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"

Ben O - Your statement here is unusually bad for you. Scientists who are "quacks" (ie they fake data, etc.) lose their jobs, routinely. But you want scientists to be unafraid of making honest mistakes, or we'll never get anywhere.

EDIT - My statements are well researched. That's part of my profession, as a scientist. Here's just some of the the backup:

How do you bask in ignorance? it causes fear and confusion.

Yes all those who read the date and make an informed assesment (science does not make decisions) should be encouraged to raise thier voices.

The link below is for those who need to know the basics of anthropogenic (man made) GW
