He was not firstborn, or else he would have died in the Plague of the Firstborn. And then after he was drowned in the Red Sea, who ascended to the throne, since his firstborn son had died in the plague? Are there any historical facts regarding these two questions, or any reasonable theories?

Try the History Books of the Bible, My husband has a library full of them. But if you are under the age of 30 I would doubt that you know what History is since it is no longer taught in our School System.

Using a little common sense here, the story of Moses was created long after Moses died, having been passed down for many generations. There is some evidence that Moses, an Egyptian, was a priest of Akhenaton, whose monotheistic ideas were embraced by the Jews -- although the Jews chose their own god to claim as their own, a desert god which had long been a part of their hierarchy of deities, named Yahweh. Moses was honored for introducing monotheism, although it had originally been an Egyptian idea, and in retrospect given the status of a chosen leader. Most likely Moses was made an honorary Jew, with the story about the basket and Pharoah's daughter, etc.

There is no historical evidence whatsoever that the stories about Moses were true. Had they been true, there would be proof.
