his front teeth. Apart from the obvious I think it may be, is there anything else it might be? He's fine in every other aspect, eating drinking, playing but I'm now worried about this lump. I'm gonna take him on Monday but want some kind of peace of mind please. Thanks

Thanks so far everyone for your answers. I had no idea that it'd be normal. The cat was on my knee asleep and his mouth just fell open and I saw this lump. Never seen one before on a cat so thanks so far for your help :)

if it is in the center mouth, against the back of the front teeth, and appears symmetrical, small and the same color and texture as the roof of the mouth, it is likely normal, a bump called the maxillary papilla.

It is normal. Sometimes called the Jacboson's Organ. It is used for scenting things. Like when they smell something and stand there with the mouth opened a little, so the scent and go to that spot.

It could be an injury from chewing on something and getting stabbed in the mouth by it.

Just try to relax or you'll get the kitty all worked up and nervous by the time the vet visit rolls around. It could very easily be nothing at all.

I am not sure there is anything wrong here.
I am even pretty sure all cats have "lumps" on the top of their mouths.

the cat will live, it's when they go off their food you need to worry. probably just damaged it with a toy or something hard he ate.
