I think our nation is in distress. Our kids today have lost all morals and all respect for each and everyone of their friends neighbors and fellow citizens. "Ya no dog whatz I feel cuz!" noz dezrespects yo yo cuz!.Word wad up! I vote that we make a manditory two year service into the miltary after graduation. That is for the ones (cuz) that graduate.

remember when our parents couldn't watch Elvis's hips on the Ed Sullivan show? think about that next time some thug comes at you in the city while you are waiting for the light to change.this generation is unlike anything this world has seen

Excellent idea, but lets make the parents take some responsibility. Also lets not make it so easy for single moms. That's the politically correct term for some women who wants to be a "welfare mama", more kids equals a bigger check. Why not take the convicted "gangbangers", and put them into the military, and ship them out to fight the religious fanatics in the world. No laying up in the crib smoking dope, but either fight or die. Make prisons so horrible that no one wants to go there. This might encourage some of these kids to do well.

I don't think making them serve in the military is a good idea. Serving in the military is something one should chose on their own to do and be honored for doing, not required. Besides, do you really want these silly kids to be given a gun? You can't take anyone who tries to be like a gangster seriously with a gun after all they hear from their idols is how bad they are for shooting people. Sweet Lord!
The fact that people match nearly all the kids of this generation to that stereotype is humiliating, considering I am still a kid. I think most kids have been spoiled, aren't motivated by anyone or anything to become better than what they are and don't have strict parents. I think parents are afraid to damage the kids self-esteem if they try to motivate or teach them and end up telling them fruity stuff like "You tried the best you could and that's all we expect from you, we still love you Jr."
Most are never pushed to do better, all they got was a playful pat on the butt.
I'm a big fan of constructive criticism...

I think no one can improve anything just look in what you see in all answer question they answer like they are god. but when they are in front of the class they are quiet as mouse. If human can improve better learning and many will become more arrogant. Just like some people answering my ask question they think they have not been through a child hood?
Because of to much sex, lust and computer game etc. They are no longer listening and understand others information. Because they watch to much false information movie that are not base in fact. All was just base on fanatics hopes. Just like time machine, angels with wings? this is the real fact in life what if you cannot get a job because human are so choosy because you Chinese or Mexico or even Black? And when you don't have money everything will fall like domino just like inflation etc. That is why their are still terrorist because of the government system. I think terrorist has a right to destroy some of the system human make to let them see what is the real perpose of what the government do to the people and people today is totaly more arrogant today than before.

wow.
I've NEVER heard ANYONE talk like that, except in old 70s movies. I'm going to high school next year, and i still have my morals and respect. Thats kinda mean to be judging that ALL kids are selfish, disrespecting, and whatever else you think.
PLEASE. Don't judge us.
One more thing...so the people who graduate have to go to military, and the ones who drop-out don't? Um...? And some people would like to go to college after school, and putting them in the military is unfair.
Ok i feel better now that i got that off my chest.

You are proposing that after years of parents, extended families, and local people not taking the time to demonstrate and teach morals and respect that we should have the Federal government step in and dump kids into the military? I think we'd all be better off if adults would complain less and support the kids in their community more.
Added in edit: I tried to reply to your e-mail, Dan J., but it bounced. I live "downtown"....:)
I'm well aware of the benefits of serving in the military. My oldest daughter recently completed 4 year of service.

You cannot wait until the kids are in high school to begin teaching discipline and morals. The problem is much bigger than that. The one thing we can all do is to demand respect from children and give them respect and encouragement that requires time and patience. Allot of parents won't or cant give either as they are stressed, too involved in their own life or just don't care.

a strategically placed smack might help as it didnt hurt me and, i suspect, may have done some good. The military would close their doors on seeing them comming. The past stimili for self esteem and personal integrity are gone. No god watching now. I am and I want. Not interested in any thing else. That is not intended to be a blanket statement as the most accute examples tend to have higher profile being happy to be in our face. Culling holds appeal.

Actually, the majority of the kids that graduate aren't going, "Ya no dawg i kno what you be feelin coz dem hataz is on me yo."
A lot of kids that are like that drop out.
MAYBE military service for the ones that drop out-
but that still seems a bit unfair.

There was this old bloke, said pretty much the same as you. I think his name was Socrates. Every generation says the same thing about the next generation. Just think, Grandparents of today were the hippies of yesterday.

I think this a silly question! to make them to improve in studies we have to make them toenjoy the class by allowing each togive there opinion and make the class more enjoyable h that is the best way to improve.
