Once you have bought your Freeview box, all broadcasts are free, apart from your BBC licence fee, of course.
Some Freeview boxes have a card slot for Top-Up-TV. This adds a few more channels and costs about £8 a month. You only pay one month at a time, with no contract to lock you in.
We can receive around 75 free TV and radio channels.

The channels you get will be determined by where you live, the strength of the transmitter signal and the quality of your TV aerial.0The real problem with the budget freeview boxes is that they often have only 1 scart socket. This means that you can set it it up to watch it on your TV or record stuff from it on your video or DVD recorder, but not both. There's also the problem that it will only be a single tuner. So you'll not be able to watch 1 channel while recording another. Your best bet is to buy a freeview that has twin scarts and twin tuners. This will future proof you, ready for the switchover. Contact me if you want further advice on this issue.

One payment, £15 in Argos.
Then you can get around 30 channels, including one movie channel and Sky Sports News.
Great value.
