The idea of "God" usually comes along with the idea of "free will", which allows humans to act as they choose. Humans also have to deal with the consequences... prison, humiliation, death. If you follow a theistic path, then you also believe that these people are 'judged' by god when they die, and are eternally punished in some way. Remember, too, that while 'god always answers prayer', he doesn't always give the answer you want. We cannot know the mind of that kind of god, because things don't always make sense within our thought process. God's thought process is obviously different.
From my point of view, the real question should be "why don't we, as humans, use the power we hold within us to help transform these situations?" Why do we leave everything to 'god', rather than trying to transform our own spirits and minds? If, as theists tend to believe, god gave us all the power we have, then it would not be unreasonable to study and grow our own mental abilities, to use the power within us. I cannot create peace on my own, but I can use my individual power to promote it in my own way.

God isn't letting anything happen, he gave us "freewill" that means we make those choices and he deals with it later. When are people going to stop blaming God for the bad things when it's our fault because we have so much hate in our hearts. If everyone believed don't you think the world would be a much better place. The bible says, "Love they neighbor as thy self" how many of us truly do that? The goal of this life is get be good enough to get to heaven, I believe those who die and are innocent have a special place by God's side.

God requires that humanity solve its own problems, God will provide guidance and intuition and maybe even more help in an emergency, But people create the conditions in this world, by not addressing the many serious problems that exist here on earth, before they grow, so, they become extreme and finally get their attention. God wants people to develop, strong moral character, and use it, to work extremely hard at addressing and contributing, to solving the problems, that prevent us from living in a much nicer world. God will reward all those who contribute positively to a better world.

Even suicidal terrorists have a conscious that God tries to appeal to.
God wants to be a God of Love in relation to us .... so that means we have to respond freely, not as robots

God is not letting them do it. The devil is causing them to do it. It is our problem and we as a people can solve it if everyone would pull together to do so. God is not going to step in and pull us out of every situation we put ourselves in. Even a good mother and father will stop lifting up a fallen child when he learns how to stand. Same as God.

God is in the Saving business. He desires that our souls get to heaven. He didn't start the wars, why should He intercede? The god of this world is playing out his final days. This is where all of the wars and famines come from.

God gave people free will. He does not intervene when PEOPLE decided to do things.
There is a difference in His answering prayers and His intervening in the behavior of people. He will not literally FREEZE people so they can't do anything.

your question seems to indicate a concept of God sitting on the living room floor, moving us around like barbie dolls and gi joes...life doesn't work that way. i know that some people cringe at the phrase 'free will', but it absolutely applies-God has already spoken on the subject and said "DO NOT MURDER"...it's ignorant and evil people who do these things of their own choosing

When Adam ate from the Tree of Knowledge (the supposed "apple"), G-d conferred upon man "freedom of choice".
G-d isn't letting terrorists kill children...WE ARE.
Until we learn to follow G-d's LAWS, this type of horror will continue.
Secondly, without evil, we wouldn't know what "good" was.

ITS NOT GOD THATS CAUSING HUNGER, WAR OR NATURAL DISASTERS ITS THE GOVERNMENT OF THESE COUNTRIES WHO ARE GREEDY AND CORRUPT. HOW CAN GOD USE HIS POWER TO STOP ALL THIS WHEN YOUR GREEDY PRESIDENT IS ALLOWING AND INVOLVED IN WAR AND TERRORISM AND FILLING HIS POCKET WITH MONEY IN A NICE PALACE LIVING OFF OF TAXPAYERS MONEY. WHEN THEY LOOK OUT THEIR WINDOW AND THEY LIVE NICE THEY CAN SEE THAT THEIR CITIZENS ARE STARVING. TAKE A STAND!!! BLAME THE GOVERNMENT AND NOT GOD!! SPREAD THE WORD! GOD IS JUST EASIER TO BLAME!
