Fresh pineapple is better tasting than canned but that is before you cook it,afterwards there really isn't much difference except in the price. pineapple slices or chunks in juice work just as well as fresh for what you intend, are far cheaper than fresh , are always ripe...which fresh ones rarely are..and don't have to be peeled, cored and diced before hand. If you decide to try a fresh fruit..there is no special pineapple for cooking..then the way to tell if it is ripe is to tug at one of the spiny leaves in the centre, if it comes away easily then it's ripe.
Tuna and pineapple go great together..canned or fresh tuna..and remember to drain the pineapple of course.

Canned pineapple?
Fine if you want to be no better than a junk fast-food pizza.
Imagine how much better the texture would be if you added crunchy, fresh pineapple chunks to your recipe. If you've ever tried fresh pineapple, you'll never want canned again. You can even try grilling the slices to get a nice caramelized flavor.
While you're at it... Please tell me you are not using canned gross tuna. If you insist on a tuna fish pizza, why not try a tuna steak, grill it very lightly and quickly, and add the medium-rare slices AFTER the rest of the pie is cooked and ready to serve.

I use to make pizza in the restaurant...just canned sliced pineapple and make sure you absorb all the moisture out before putting it on the pizza and tuna and pineapple? Never have heard of that ...I like ham and pineapple.

They fairly bake it each and every time, they don't in simple terms use frozen ones that they warmth up. They get their dough, spread it round knead it. Then they word toppings in although they go with. even if it truly is stuff crust pizza, they then bake it, and go away the crust hollowed it. They fill it in with melted cheese and voila! because of this they many times take 0.5 an hour to make their pizzas
