BEEF IS A RED MEAT. PORK IS CONSIDERED A WHITE MEAT. WHEN YOU ARE SHOPPING, LOOK AT THE MEATS MOSTLY ALL BEEF IS RED. BETTER CHOICES ARE CHICKEN, TURKEY, FISH, AND THEN THE BEST IS A MEAT SUBSTITUTE LIKE A SOY BASED MEAT.

Read meat = cows... maybe deer
Pig is debatable; some call it red, some white, but is often considered not healthy.

Vegetarians do not eat animals = no cow, pig, fish, chicken, deer, rabbit, rhinoceros, dog, cat, penguin etc..

As for what meat you should do away with, that is up to you and your goals.
If you are working toward better health, I hear that giving up cows and pigs is the best. However, I also hear that fish can be bad because of the chemicals in the water, but I'm no expert.
If you are going for vegetarianism, that is the process of giving up all animals.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Red meat is an imprecise term. If you are looking to eat healthier, all meat is high in fat, even poultry. Fish and seafood is marginally better, but varies widely as to fat content, so you would have to do some research-the fats in fish are held to be healthier than the fat in meat and puoltry. Some seafood is high in cholesterol. Eggs and full fat cheese are also not very healthy.
For health issues, your best bet is to do away with all animal products. If you cannot give them up completely, low fat dairy, skinless poultry and nonfatty fish are the best choices.

even though pork is whitish in color.. I consider all meat from 4 legged animals red and fish and fowl (birds) white meat
so any eatible animal of the following etc is considered red
cow, pig, deer, buffalo, camel, horse, moose, bear, antelope, etc...
and the following examples are white... chicken, turkey, duck, goose, pheasant, ostrich (even though it appears red), pidgeon, and even rabbit I consider white, its not large enough to be red.. and all creatures of the sea except for whale or dolphin, or seals (if you eat those, I assume native peoples of the polar regions eat these animals, and I consider them red meat)

Red meat is basically meat from animals, as opposed to fowl.
