Simply because most "Christians" do not practice Christianity. If more people would love others more, themselves, less and have peace and understanding, then others would respond more. When are "Christians" going to become Christians, themselves? When will the real Christians stand up and start to follow Christ? Start with yourself. When others see God in us, maybe they'll get onboard.

I'm quite sure that all who answered are true Chrisians. Of course, there were a lot of protesters. You have to wonder? It still is in our best interest to act like Christians or just keep quite. I want others to know I'm a Christian by what I do, not what I say I do. Thanks for all the good answers!

Myself, I'm a dedicated christian and devoted to god.
But truthfully, more so or less...I just have a relationship with god and I equally respect and help my fellow human being, because its what god expects from us.
Christianity has become just a title like most religions, it doesn't have a cause behind it anymore, no one really practises it.
Good luck, god bless!

There may be some blame for those who are not close enough to God to be a good witness, also I would point out that not all are dedicated enough in His knowledge. But Paul understood what it was about. He said it here:
Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,
"I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." 16 It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. ( Romans 9 )
And Jesus said concerning those he was about to offend, for they followed him from Tiberias to Capernaum seeking signs:
44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: 'They will all be taught by God."
( John 6 )
This is not the typical message preached, but it is the truth. What this message does is makes the fence walker stop and consider, it hardens the heart of the offender, and it also causes those on the verge to become repentant. The point of the message is: God does not want everybody. He has been that way, and His plan was to rescue a remnant. Always only a remnant of those who are here on Earth.

I am sorry, but I disagree. I don't know what "Christians" you know personally, but the ones I know are good, decent, loving people who follow the teachings of Jesus.
To make a blanket statement such as, "most Christians do not practice Christianity" is narrow-minded, and unfair. What you could say is that the Christians YOU know aren't following the teachings of Jesus. But the ones I know are!!
So start with yourself...by stopping your judgemental and narrow-minded prejudice against Christians. Then maybe others will, indeed, get on board ... Blessings!

I like your attitude, Catching more flies with honey and all that. The thing that turns me off of religion the most is when people are pushy and pompous. Their is definatley more appeal in a faith where it's followers are pleasant to be around.

Good for you, lead by example. I am trying to myself, I'm reading different books to help me and I am praying for help. I have to say, things are really coming together. I'm trying so hard to be a good Christian and be loving, accepting, cheerful, helpful, etc. I am still a baby Christian and I expect to grow so much more. GOD WILLING!!

There is a church/movement that has these things that you describe in its fundamental teachings. They believe in the character of GOD manifested in its people. Who are they?
Ask the question and you'll receive the response.
GOD bless

I agree that "real" Christians need to stand up, but it's not up to us to convert others. Jesus told us to preach the gospel, if they don't accept it we are to dust off our feet and "leave town". The message should stand on its own feet, but we do have the responsibility to bear a true witness to children, like Jesus said, "it's better for a millstone to be tied around your neck and be thrown into a lake than to cause one of these little ones to stray."

Perhaps you should be an example to me? I feel somewhat attacked by you, a fellow Christian..............
Take a moment and think about the word "practice". That is what we all do, practice, for none of us is perfect.
