Stony,
Not directly, but it can help with health in general by replacing higher fat meats and proteins. Another big help for diabetics is the Glycemic Index. It helps to choose foods that are better carbohydrates, and which ones are slower to produce blood glucose dips and spikes.

Peanut butter is good, white and wheat bread are bad.

The last one I just found, I have no idea if it is any good. A lot of people say "curable" when they mean you can do so well with the diet that you don't need medicines. That's not a real cure, but it's good. I know for sure one lady did it.

Eating fish, depending on where it is from may have higher levels of mercury, contaminants and etc. You are better off with a high quality fish oil. Chromium Picolinate also regulates blood sugar as does cinnamon. Try some natural healing along with your insulin and see it doesn't help.
Fish oil is by no means a cure for anything but in some cases it lowers blood sugar, or I should say level it out. Recently my diabetic friend purchased some and she is down to 5 units of insulin from 50 units daily. This gal was taking another fish oil from the drug store but it didn't do anything because it was not pure or refined enough. Fish oil or any supplement is not a cure but in many cases can help you regulate your body in to helping itself in whatever it may need, all people are affected differently. Fish oil taken with the Chromium Picolinate is also advisable. You can go to a drug store but if the fish oil doesn't say molecular distillation than don't buy it! It should also have IFOS rating of 5. Fish Oil is good for the brain the heart and everything in between. I take it just to help me stay healthy. You can check out HolisticPetMenu.com where I get mine or go to the drug store with the info that I gave you, remember you get what you pay for, don't look for just the cheapest brand! Good luck.

Most fish is a tasty way to get the protein you need daily.
It has no carbs- like all meats-and makes a lovely meal.
Enjoy.

No. Doesn't hurt, though... like most foods.
