Didn't about 200 other similar questions come up when you typed this one in?

People CAN eat anything they want. Vegetarians CHOOSE not to eat meat. Fish is meat.

Ignore the first person's post. Vegetarians do not eat meat. There is no such thing as a fish eating vegetarian. If someone wants to eat fish, that's fine. They are not a vegetarian, they are an omnivore.

In response to: "In my opinion some Vegetarian's exhibit the qualities of some(religious people) they pick and choose what to believe in. Its simple for me "do you pick a fish from a plant/tree/vine etc?""

I used to agree with that, and I still semi-do except I don't think l/o vegetarians should use that in response to fish-eaters. Eggs and milk don't grow on trees, either.

When I tell people I am a vegetarian I get fed up of being asked if I eat fish doh...i said I was a vegetarian...does a fish have a face? Yeah , so NO I dont eat fish. It annoys me that the school lunch veggie option is tuna or fish fingers! When I pointed out this was not a veggie option I was told I was wrong....me a vegetarian for 40+ years..so I donated literature educating her.

Some people call themselves vegetarian and eat fish.

They are not considered vegetarians by the real vegetarians who don't eat animals of any kind.

Only other people who eat animals would say vegetarians eat fish.

If you're a true vegetarian, you don't eat fish. Vegetarians that actually care about animals don't eat fish.

please look up the definition of fish.
it's pretty obvious that fish are animals, they don't grow on trees. just because they're sea creatures doesn't mean they're not creatures at all.

fish are animals and vegetarians don't eat animals therefore if you want to eat fish then go ahead but do not be a hypocrite and call yourself a vegetarian.

You can eat whatever you want, but I think most folks wouldn't consider someone who eats fish a true vegetarian.

Anyone who still eats animals (including fish) is NOT a vegetarian.

Fish have a face and is a living thing. Therefore it should not be eaten.

I am pretty sure this is a 'pescatarian' (not sure on spelling). I am one and would like to not eat fish, but my mum says that i have to because of protein, but anyway, strict vegetarians don't eat fish and pescetarians do. However pescetarains are mostly classed as vegetarians anyway.

It depends some vegetarians just don't eat red meats and some just eat fish as a source of protein, but if you want to be a strict vegetarian then no. But they aren't really considered vegetarians but some people think they are because they just don't eat mammals and other animals like that. But in reality i would have to say no because you aren't supposed to eat any type of meat like that if you are vegetarian.
