Seems like it would be contrary to the spirit of the diet but there are worse offenses.
I never understood why my sister bought tofurkey (tofu in the shape of a turkey) for thanksgiving. If she doesn't want to eat an animal, why does she choose an animal shape for her food?
Thats sort of like an Amish person designing wooden furniture in the shape of a television
Or a Mormon drinking all of his liquids out of empty bourbon bottles
