A skinless chicken has no carbs.
1 Cup of white rice has about 42 grams of carbs (this depends greatly on the brand read your food label)
If you add things to the chicken that is where carbs get added in
(for example, breading, gravy just to name a few.)
Eating healthy (covering all of the food pyramid every day) and exercise along with maintaining a healthy weight is the best way to avoid a disease. Also having frequent well visits (yearly physical) with the doctor helps as they can screen for those diseases.

White rice has more carbs than Chicken. Because Chicken does not have any carbs at all. It does however, have fat - and you should avoid eating the skin. Dark meat of chicken has less cholesterol than white meat. Even tho' it tastes really yummy - do not eat fried chicken - especially if you are worried about your heart health!

Chicken has no carbs. White rice has alot of carbs and it is bad carbs because it is refined (machine made). It is a fast digesting carb that stores as fat.
Wheat rice is slowing digesting there for it will not store as fat.

Don't worry about chicken it is very good for you. It is very high in protein. It also has essential amino acids which your build needs to break down and buid muscle.

chicken is a fat, a protein not a carb. White rice is a starchy carb.. Lots of carb in rice. If you are eating boneless/skinless chicken brest then thats fine. But the problem w/ chicken is when you eat dark meat deep fried.

Chicken itself has no carbs per se, it really depends on how it is cooked,
Fried chicken=carbs a plenty!
Breaded chicken=carbarama
baked chicken with herbs and spices (I like garlic and lemon pepper)=very healthy!

Rice is almost all carbs

Chicken has no carbs. However if you body has all the protein it needs the rest is converted to carbs. So chicken could increase you blood glucose.

Chicken is protein, may have some carbs but don't think it is enough to count. My dietician says to eat a piece of lean meat or chicken about the size of the palm of your open hand to get the protein you need. Chicken is a good meat and is recommended for most weight loss diets (as long as it is baked, broiled or grilled--------not fried!!!!)
