Last week I noticed I was getting some bumps in my groin area, and went to the doc right away. He said I had Molluscum Contagiosum and put liquid nitrogen on them to treat them. My girlfriend and I had sex the day before I went to the doctor... and she has no symptoms yet. I read that men are more affected than women? My girlfriend and I are not going to touch eachother for quite a while until this goes away... is it possible she won't get them??? (i hope so for her sake)

can i just point out that there are different strains of molloscum contagiosum and not all are sexually transmitted, as some people are suggesting unless of course you are suggesting that nursery children who get it and spread it around are sexually active?

i think that if your girlfriend is going to get them she has already been exposed, so its just a case of wait and see, its not the end of the world,. Dont beat yourself up about it

I believe Molluscum Contagiosum is a highly contagious virus. You could have picked this up from touching something and transferred it to your penis while going for a pee. It can also be transferred just skin to skin.. e.g. hugging someone hello... It would be unfair to straight away blame your girlfriend unless you have any other reason to mistrust her.

There is a very high possibility that she will get them. Unless there was no contact at all between her and the area where you have them. They will go away, you just have to make sure that you treat them right away. We used to see this all the time while working at a clinic. It is very common. Ask your doctor for instructions as to how to treat them at home if you do get more. She should stay away for a while though, Good luck!!!

It is a virus, it most certainly can be transmitted in sexual contact. Onset varies from one week to six months. See the site I included for more information.

Congrats, you have genital warts. There is no real cure barring surgery. If you and your lady dont have rough sex you might get lucky.Men carry warts on the outside, but women grow these lovleys on the inside of there cervix.Remember, this std is a viris. You could of had it for years, and its now just showing itself. When you here the words cervicle cancer from your lady friend, remember she probably gave them to you because she is most likley much more sexually active than you.Lets face it,you dont even know about human papoloma viris, let alone g-spot female orgasim or comasutra.

I believe that she will only be susceptible if she has a compromised immune system.
