Don't start! You would be very sorry! Smoking kills! It is not cool! Smoking is very expensive! Oh! please don't start. My friends Mother is dieing with Lung cancer because of smoking! I had 2 friends die of Lung cancer and one still could not quit even though she was dieing! It is a terrible way to die! I quit smoking after the 2nd friend died! It was hard because I smoked for many, many years but I didn't want to die. I quit 7 years ago, but I will never be completely in the clear. I worked with a lady who developed Lung Cancer 10 years after she quit. Please don't smoke! let me tell you something when I was about 10 I started smoking NOT because i wanted to mainly it was because everyone in the group that I used to hang aroung with smoked. At first I hated it and it was really just an act to look cool i never even took it back and when people was'nt looking I felt like thowing up. The problem was that I soon did start to inhale the smoke back and when I wanted to stop I found I couldnt as i was addicted. About 2 years ago I was admitted into Hospital as It seemed as if i was suffocating the docor has since diagnosed me with asthma which started off by me wanted to look cool. Now i am 19 I cannot get up the stairs with out been out of breath . I dont smoke any more but the affects have still harmed my body I feel like a 90 year old. so no i wouldnt advice you to start smoking

My husband, having been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis, high blood pressure, early stage emphysema and a blocked carotid artery, has decided to quit smoking after 50 years. I have joined him after 40 years as a smoker.

In our lives, we have tried every possible way to quit. We have finally been successful using the new drug, Chantix.

My point is, if you have a death wish, smoking is a slow and painful way to go. There are many quicker methods.

If you simply want to suffer for most of your life, then I would recommend you start right out with 2 or 3 packs a day. You'll get the instant gratification of feeling nauseous, dizzy and green, as well as the long-term benefits of getting sicker quicker and being miserable for longer. Oh, and an extra bonus benefit: You will stink!

Good luck on your endeavor.

I wouldn't start. I smoke about a pack a day. I've been smoking for about 10 years now and would love to quit. Hopefully if you do try it you won't like the taste of the first puff and you'll never do it again. They say besides cancer; smoking can cause food to taste very bland(something to do w your taste buds)and it also causes a tiny hair(1 inch) to grow in the back of your throat. My 3rd grade son brought me home that fact.Good luck in your decision.

You can only start with one, once you start, you will never stop. I thought I would never get addicted like those other fools. I was so wrong. YOU WILL GET ADDICTED!!! YOU WILL BE STUCK IN A TRAP!

This is set up by the government for population control. Cigarettes will let you kill your own self. They make your breath stink, they KILL!!!

How about 0.
Smoking is an expensive, nasty, filthy habit. Eventually you'll want to quit, and it will be really hard. I quit last December, and I'm so thankful. My advice is, don't start.

Don't do it. Any smoker will tell you that taking up smoking was the stupidest thing they ever did.
I think I will ask them all that question just to make sure.
