Proper treatment can slow the progression of the disease but it can't be reversed. Most people with C.O.P.D. will eventually progress to congestive heart failure due to the stress of the poor respiratory function on the heart. It is usually the congestive heart failure or an episode of pneumonia, which is a frequent occurrence with C.O.P.D., that causes death. I will keep you and your friend in my prayers.

No, it won't go away and it can't be cured but with proper treatment she can live many years. I know you worry about her because the both of you have just now found out but I have known people who have lived for years with this. Why not think on the positive side. I have read many nice prayers that you have written for people, so keep your friend in your prayers. Keep a positive look.

I am sure your friend will be fine as long as she takes her Medications and takes care of herself. I know that you are a good Christian and you will be keeping your friend in your prayers. I know a lady who has C.O.P.D. and she has been on oxygen for 12 years.

When a person has COPD, they have two lung diseases: chronic bronchitis and emphysema. COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in America. Once you have COPD, it will not go away. It isn't necessarily a death sentence, but as the disease progresses it can be very debilitating. If it is caught early and treatment is started lung function can increase. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. My grandmother had COPD before she passed away.

It can be very dangerous, she will have to be careful being around people with colds because she can get pneumonia, She can live for several years with C.O,P.D. And yes I have to be honest with you she could die with it. I have known people with this and the two that I did know who died passed away in their sleep. On friend had a smile on her face..............I think the Angels came to take her home.

I know that medically it cannot be cured completely. But I know and have experienced that God can completely heal your friend. Maybe you might ask why did God give my friend this disease? You see many times God gives us troubles so that we may recognize that he is an all powerful God and begin to respect Him and be close to Him and also learn lessons from it. There are many testomonies like that. for example, Joyce Meyer. It has happened to me also. I personally experienced his doings in many things and in the lives of my family. The only thing you have to do is ask him from your heart(a real request) and He will surely answer you. Listen to his answer carefully! And his name is Jesus. Talk with Him just as you may talk to your friend. You see God is very very holy. He has no sin in Him. But we all humans have commited sin in one or the other way. may be small things like lies, stealing, cursing etc. No sinner however small the sin, can enter heaven according to the Word of God. God made this earth a perfect place, with no diseases. But when Adam sinned, there started the downfall of man. But Jesus, the Son of God came into this world NOT TO CONDEMN YOU AND ME, BUT TO SAVE US FROM OUR SIN. And that's why died in our places (because we have to suffer for our sin but He suffered in our place. He died on the cross in our place and took our sins upon Himself. He loves you and me infinetly as we are His children.) So call upon His name, acknowleding that you have sinned and ask him to take away all your sins and He will and ask him to come into your life. And when I did that, everything in my life changed. And then Ask Him about your friend. And the most important thing for your friend and all of us is the life after this life which will be forever with God(heaven) or without God in hell (which believe me you don't wanna be there) And because sinners cannot enter heaven, Jesus is the only way to heaven ie. you can enter heaven only through him not by your good works as your and my good works are like filty rags before God. So first recognize that you are a sinner and ask him to cleanse your sins and ask him into your heart sincerely. And I am sure He will talk with you about all matters concerning you, not only abou your friend. if you would like to email me, email @ mananddino@yahoo.com
PS IF you were taught God dosen't exist or evolution brought us here, please email me and listen to Kent Hovind's videos on youtube.com regarding evidence why evolution never happened or is happening and that God's created us. And as I told you I personally experienced God and so I cannot deny Him.
