Type I... that is the kind that a person has from the time of childhood. It is much, much more difficult to control childhood onset.

Type II diabetes is usually adult onset and can, for the most part, be controlled with diet and exercise. In some cases, the adult can lessen the amount of insulin necessary.

Type II can be brought on by factors such as genes, obesity, and poor diet.

Type I's primary factor is genes. Many type 1 kids are slender and have to eat a very carefully planned diet, but if they don't time their eating and insulin shots just right, they trigger into a severe reaction without warning.

Type 1 is definitely worse. With type two, your body does SOMETHING, even if it's not enough. Diet changes and weight loss can often help improve the circumstances. And I guess people don't like to hear it, but weight can be a big issue. They aren't really sure why, but the body produces and uses insulin more efficiently when it's not fat. Even a 5% weight loss can make a difference.

In type 2, the body does NOTHING and the person is completely dependent. Diet and weight loss don't change a thing. In fact, most type 1s are thin.

There are 2 types of Diabetes, Juvenile, or Diabetes Mellitus Type one, typically is diagnosed at childhood, and requires insulinn injections. Formerly called Adult Onset Diabetes, or DM type 2 is diagnosed in adulthood and is treated with oral pills, insulin or a combination. Your body becomes resistant to insulin or stops producing it. I think Type 1 is worse because of the long tern effects on the body, including blindness, kidney failure and vascular problems causing amputations. High blood sugar is bad whether young or old.

the worst is when a diabetic ignores that fact they are diabetic. Its not that one type is better then the other its just when the diabetic person doesn't take care of themself. That can happen to either type. I am a type 1 but I will never say I am worse then a type 2, or better then a type2. I just take good care of myself thats all.

Type 1. Type 1 is when your body makes zero insulin and this is usually detected very early in life. Type 2 is when your body can sort of, sometimes and inefficiently make insulin....still not good though. The worst is Type 1.

There are 3 types of diabetes, Type-1, Type-2 and Gestational diabetes. The worst type and the one you will most likely not want to have is a Type 1 because this is where your body turns against itself. In Type 1 diabetes the bodies immune system turns against your internal organs and attacks the insulin produced in the pancreas. People with Type 1 diabetes need to take insulin shots daily in order to stay alive.

Whatever type you have. No matter what type you have it needs to be detected and controlled. Life can continue almost normal if you know the rules and follow them.

Poorly controlled diabetes.

If you ask between 1 and 2, the causes are different, and type 1 can give you a ketosis. Insulin shots can bother you...but the symptoms and consequences are the same.
