What can I do right now to bring it down. I am taking my meds and I am not eating bad things. Could this mean something. I went to the doctor and the nurse checked it, didn't seem too alarmed. Am I overreacting?

Drink plenty of water and exercise. This will help to lower it for the moment. Of course if this continues you will have to see your doctor to adjust your meds and possibly your diet. Also, if you have a cold or flu etc. it may throw you glucose off as well. Taking meds for a cold or flu is also a culprit.

Do you have another way to check, are you eating the proper amount of carbs? What was your blood sugar at the doctor's office. That would help a lot. 370 is high. I don't react to high readings like that, my body waits until it is 600, lol. But some people do have problems at that level. You really need to talk to the doctor. Make sure of what your level was when they tested and then find out why they aren't concerned, especially with you having symptoms like that. Make sure the doctor understands what you are doing and go over everything to make sure you are in compliance with his directives. I can't believe that if you blood sugar was that high, the nurse wasn't alarmed over it. Maybe the doctor was not aware.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Go to an ER now. For a doctor to just dismiss you with a blood sugar of 370 is wrong.

Are you sick? Have you been running a fever?

Regardless, you need treatment. You won't be able to physically drink enough water to stay hydrated. You will need IV rehydration and possibly IV insulin.

Please don't wait. This is serious. Also, since you are feeling dizzy and "not right", you could be heading into DKA, if you are not there already.

Either call 911 or have someone drive you. Do not attempt to drive yourself. Go NOW. This is nothing to ignore.

Did the nurse tell you what her reading was? It could have;
1. dropped by the time you were at the doctor
2. Your meter could have been wrong(I recently had a bad meter)
3. Its not bad things as much as how many calories that can send you sugar reading so high. Normal around 150 is only normal if withing 2 hours after meals.

Be sure to record your readings and show them to your doctor or nurse. Then be sure they tell you how to deal with readings outside "normal" range. Do not leave until you understand their directions.

People with diabetes have to follow a strict diet along with strict compliance with medication u were prescribed with. Did you eat something extra during that time? Stress is also known to peak glucose levels, it is seen in alot of patient that are admitted to the ER..Their glucose are higher all of the sudden from the stress.
Hope this helps

your blood sugar is way too high. I gaurantee if I were to take a urinalysis you'd have glucose in it.

Did you have a high carb diet recently before that level? Are you following the ADA diet for caloric intake? Has your doctor adjusted your insulin levels? What is your hemoglobin A1C levels?

your doc needs to adjust your meds to bring you into control if this is a frequent thing

Are you under any stress? Stress tends to affect your sugar level as well.

Also, could you be pregnant? The stress on the body to produce the extra hormones also causes high sugar levels (hence gestational diabetes).

Its not about how much sugar you eat, Its about how much carbohydrates you eat. Right now insulin and plenty of water will bring it down
