Weather never bothered me. If I felt like going camping the only thing that mattered was whether the roads were closed or not. If I can get up there relatively safely then I can have a good time. As long as you have sufficient insulating gear.

you always have a camping issue or a fishing one, nice if the weather is warm over there, I'm in New York and it's fall here and raining.

I have been winter camping at 11,500 feet since August in snow and frozen streams. Your primary concern should be access to water, since waterways may be frozen or will clog your water filter during the coldest part of the day. Unless you want to wait around your base camp until mid-day to filter water or like wasting fuel melting snow, then haul-in a few quarts of water. Your second concern should be staying warm and dry, since wet means cold. I backpacked up to the base of Belford and Oxford this week. I carried four quarts, eight pounds, of water because I did not have time to spend hunting down running water and filtering in the evening. Heating four quarts of water took more than a half hour. I drank one quart of hot chocolate for dinner, then put the remaining three quarts inside my sleeping bag to warm it. I took off my sweaty base layer and socks, switching to dry clothing in my backpack. I slept in my down jacket, fleece layer, base layer, and snowpants, wrapped in my Never Summer 0 degree rated sleeping bag on a 2.5 inch Big Agnes sleeping pad. At three in the morning, I boiled the water in my heating bottles again. For breakfast, I had a quart of hot chocolate. I saved two bottles of water for my twelve-mile hike up two 14,000-foot peaks, then finished my twelve-mile hike.
