Prevention
Healthy lifestyle choices can help you prevent type 2 diabetes. Even if diabetes runs in your family, diet and exercise can help you prevent the disease. And if you've already been diagnosed with diabetes, the same healthy lifestyle choices can help you prevent potentially serious complications.
* Eat healthy foods. Choose foods low in fat and calories. Focus on fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Strive for variety to prevent boredom.
* Get more physical activity. Aim for 30 minutes of moderate physical activity a day. Take a brisk daily walk. Ride your bike. Swim laps. If you can't fit in a long workout, break it up into smaller sessions spread throughout the day.
* Lose excess pounds. If you're overweight, losing even 10 pounds can reduce the risk of diabetes. To keep your weight in a healthy range, focus on permanent changes to your eating and exercise habits. Motivate yourself by remembering the benefits of losing weight, such as a healthier heart, more energy and improved self-esteem.
Sometimes medication is an option as well. Oral diabetes drugs such as metformin (Glucophage) and rosiglitazone (Avandia) may reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes — but healthy lifestyle choices remain essential.
Consume less quantity of food more times in a day. Reduce carbohydrate, fat and oils in your diet.
Consult your doctor.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

The only medicine you can use is:
exercise at least 30 minutes daily
Diet--lose enough weight to get to your ideal weight
Even if you are prescribed diabetes drugs by your doctor you will need to do the above anyway. If you want to preserve your sex life and avoid the other complications of high blood sugars, now is the time to get control of the rest of your life. There are many sites on the internet to help you find a good diet.

This is no way a question for answers! Your English also makes some of your question ambiguous. Diabetes can produce impotence, kidney damage and blindness and if you wish to avoid these common complications of poor diabetic control, you must take your doctors advice! At 29 years your treatment would inevitably involve insulin, this has none of the side effects that seem to concern you, but I stress again uncontrolled diabetes can cause all of these problems.

Uncontrolled diabetes will affect your sex life, your eye sight and also you may end up with heart disease. In homoeopathy, there is Dibonil liquid to be taken 10 to 20 drops in water before meals twice a day. You also get imported German make which is known as R40. Take one pinch cinnamon powder in warm water at bed time. Drinking Indian Mulberry fruit juice helps to control diabetes. Since you are just 29, better take care to avoid more complications at older age.

Your blood sugar level should be between 60-120.
I can tell you what worked for me and my husband. Our doctor sent us to a registered diatitian who made us a wonderful diet plan. We eat a balanced meal with snacks.
The doctor also changed my husband's diabetic medicine, which has helped so much.
Having uncontrolled diabetes can affect many parts of your body. Your kidneys, ( my husband has stage3 renal failure). When your blood glucose is high it spills over into your kidney's and after awhile can cause them not to filter correctly or complete renal failure at stage 5. By staying on this diet he has so far prevented complete renal failure, but the preveious damage can not be repaired. It also can cause nerve damage in your feet. ( my husband has really bad diabetic foot pain, especially at night) It can affect your sex life, it can go down to 0. It can damage the blood vessels behind the eye causing bleeding and blindness. It can cause high blood pressure and heart disease. My husband has coronary heart disease and had a 90% blockage. Had to have a stent put in.
His blood glucose is now normal, I just wish he would have stayed on his diet a long time ago. He would be much healther today.
I think most diabetics just don't know what and how much to eat. That is why it is so important to get your doctor to send you to a registered dietitian. A dietitian can plan a diet especially for you. Then you can have low fat meals which includes low fat milk, fruit, wholewheat bread, low fats, such as light margarine and light salad dressing, starchy foods, such as 1/2 cup corn or small potato. A small portion of protein, about the size of a deck of cards, like baked, broiled, or grilled chicken breast. A small salad twice a day.Yes, and you can even have snacks, like 1/2 cup of sugar free jello with a dab of light Cool Whip or 11/2 graham crackers. I guess what I am trying to tell you is that you don't have to skimp on your meals, if you know what kind of food to eat and how much.
As far as your medication, your doctor is the one who should choose for you. If you have any questions, you also should ask your doctor. He is trained and can help you in many ways that we might not be able to.
I can tell you from 18 years of dealing with my husband's and my diabetes, that diabetes is one disease you do not play around with. If not controlled, it will come back later to bite you down the road.
With lifestyle changes, diet, exercising and medication, checking your blood glucose everyday, and regular doctor's checkups should go a long way in treating your diabetes.
Good luck!

Soujnds like you are diabetic. And if the medicine affects your sexual abilities, talk to your doctor but don't brag on here how many times you "use" your wife. Taking care of your body at this time is more important. You can lose kidney function, eyesight, limbs and have a stroke or a heart attack. So go to the doctor, talk to him and get him to prescribe something for the erectile dysfunction you have.

All the answers above are very good. Only thing I like to add is this. Reduce any fat you may have around your belly. You can do this by doing appropriate exercise. Every inch you reduce around your waist will result in big drop in your sugar reading, guaranteed.
