Several reasons: it's a finite resource that we are running out of (as far as fossil fuels go, we've already used half of all the world's available oil); conservation of fuel puts less of a strain on the global environment on several levels; and, from a community perspective, it's the ethical thing to do considering the major issues we are facing regarding natural resources across the board.

Once again Mr. Jello misses the concept both on the personal level and the big picture position as well. I'm not sure if his goal here is to be an annoyance; muster misinformation to promote is own agendas; or simple promote hate mongering on environmental and gay / lesbian issues.

Sad really. I notice he still doesn't have the backbone to list his email, or the answers / questions he has posted.

We should need to conserve fuel because it is a natural resource. If we will waste it like for example; when we are driving a vehcile and the traffic signal becomes red and if we now that if the signal will change after several minutes and we will not turn off the vehcile then we are our a fool because we will waste fuel and it will also waste our money because we first go to petrol pumps and make full the tanks of are vehcile by giving money. So Save fuel and your money as well

As with any natural resouce conservation is key to several factors. Cost is one for instance it all boils down to supply and demand, until we can use alternative fuel sources we are bound by this. No conservation means we use more and demand goes up with it goes cost. Secondly the release of carbon emissions, this is bad for the environment ofcourse contributing to atmospheric change and air pollution the more conservation again the better off we all will be.

We should because our sources are running out and we need to keep them for future use and tasks that really need them.
Also the co2 emissions and greenhouse gases are very big problems in our society today and could kill us all one day. I Australia kin cancer is a big issue because of extra UV radiation being let through by the hole in the ozone layer. This causes many Australians every year their lives.

You do so to save money. I make all the money I need to, that's why I bought myself an SUV.

And I would like to thank everybody who makes an effort to conserve fuel. Your efforts keep my petrol bill down.
