Through which mechanism does insulin affect food intake?

a. It enables the intestines to digest certain types of protein that they would not otherwise be able to digest.
b. It increases the percentage of each meal that is stored as fats.
c. It increases the sensitivity of the taste buds to sugars.
d. It increases the preference for salty foods.

I chose answer B. because if you eat too much, your body converts excess blood glucose into fats and other stored fuels. The flow of glucose from the blood into cells depends on insulin, a hormone released by the pancreas. Insulin helps to move excess nutrients out of the blood and into the liver or fat cells.
- I am not sure if the answer is A. or B. because A seems possible also. I really need help on this one! It was confusing.

It can't be A because insulin acts on glucose in the bloodstream; digestion occurs in the stomach and intestines; not in the bloodstream.
