Yes. Just like smoking cigarettes. You are inhaling something other than air into your lungs. It replaces some of the oxygen in the inhalation and thereby impedes the transfer of oxygen into the blood stream. In lungs with already diminished capacity, it can most certainly prompt an acute reaction. The source of my answer is me: nurse for 35 years and asthma patient all my life.

Yes, anything that you smoke can cause asthma problems, including marijuana. Don't believe what conservatives tell you, Cigarettes are a lot worse, because no one is dumb enough to smoke 30 joints every day for years. Smoking weed isn't going to cause health problems like the cops that brainwash kids at schools say. If you're having problems get on some asthma medicines, and and inhaler. If you don't want to smoke it all the time make Leary biscuits.

I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.

I cured my Asthma the natural way?

NO this herb is used in some countries as inhalation therapy to help asthmatic patients. Marijuana will not harm your lungs-before 1935,it was the source of over 50% of all the prescription drugs in the world. It is still used, in some states, as a blood presssure regulator, a stress reducer, an anxiety reducer, a nausea cure for cancer patients and it helps the killer headaches of glaucoma patients. Peolpe should do alittle investigating before they dis this herb. It is a natural healer.

The short term effect may well be to make the sufferer feel better, 50 years ago asthmatics would often buy herbal cigarettes, one of those herbs was marijuana.
What was not understood at that time was ALL smoke harms the lungs.
Source being experience, those herbal cigarettes were my first smoke.
